Fasterfox and programs like it that prefetch are a bitch on smaller sites. There's nothing like a program fetching every damn link on a page at once to throw off reporting and monitoring. (And yes I know about the X-moz: prefetch header. In fact at work I send 'Forbidden' responses via Apache when that header comes across and filter them to another log file. No point in sucking down CPU for dynamic pages that won't be used.) At least Fasterfox is one of the more behaved ones and supposedly obeys robots.txt. So maybe I just have a problem with the nasties out there. If it was up to me, evil programs like it would burn in hell, or at least be forced to obey robots.txt all the time.
Yep, I think Blizzard does a good job with cut scenes. I remember first playing Diablo 2 and thinking they were amazing. Also, Starcraft/Broodwar were pretty good as well at the time. I actually wanted to play more just to see the next cut scene in both of those. I can't say much for their other games, though as I haven't played them.
I've found that different drives read cds differently. Your best bet for reading old ones is probably to use the original drive. If that is not around then it's trial and error.
That'd pretty spendy for a DVD. (Probably dual layer.) Anyhow, I would probably give them multiple dvds of different brands, and a couple dvds with the actual ISO's of the dvds on them. I would also include Par2 files for the ISO's so that if there is data loss, it can be reconstructed from the par2 files. This is a longer process, but it much more rendundant than a single dvd.
Incidentally - why does everybody feel the need to list the TV programmes they like to record You know I always wondered about that too. You don't see me running around telling you what kind of toilet paper I use (Charmin) or anti-perspirant I use (Arid).
Yeah, and you don't see me going around talking about the kind of protection I use (Trojan) or the kind of lubrication I would use (KY)... if I had a girlfirend! It's just ridiculous and crazy! Who does those things?
I would guess that there is a large portion of Americans that do not have a 401K, and who have not bought a house. (Perhaps rent or live with someone else.) I would guess that there is also a decent portion of Americans that spend more than they earn, causing a further reduction in the savings rate. (Eventually leading to bankruptcy or paying interest forever.)
I'm not saying the article is right, but I can definitely see that the savings rate may be low.
I usually check out www.sharkyextreme.com for some information on systems built to a certain price. It has a few different options like low-end, gaming, high end. (Don't exactly remember.) Helps a bit even if they aren't one of the top hardware sites. I've always found their guides to be very useful.
As opposed to having never let them live? Some people may choose to not live rather than have cancer, diabetes, etc, but I for one would choose life even if I had to deal with those.
Also, there's always the following chances: 1) The kid doesn't get anything, because of mutations or the mother's genetics. 2) In the future, there are cures for cancer, or gene therapy to correct this type of thing.
Better register a few thousand yahoo accounts as well for redundancy! (RAID 1 baby!;) ) Then if the plug was pulled by one of one of them, at least you'd have the other to work with! Not only would you get redudancy, but you'd get faster speeds since you could access portions of files from both "disks".:)
It'd help if you spoke normal english. I have a hard time understanding what you are saying. (ie. I'm not sure if you are complaining or praising. ) If you are having troubles with the AIM connection in 3.1 pro (and maybe normal) you may want to go to "Help->Update" and see if there is an AIM plugin update. If not, then nevermind.;)
I'll side with Microsoft. Norton Utilties hasn't ever been the same since the dos days and early windows days.
I almost hope Symantec dies because of this. Maybe out of its ashes we'll see a new utility company that actually makes utilities like Norton Utilities USED to be. I stopped using them a couple of years ago when I noticed they dropped a few of the old utilities, and didn't give me anything new and useful.
Sure, if you only consider the idea of them sending "Hello Earthlings."
What if they send us the specs to create a new propulsion system to get to them? Or the secret to new energy methods? *Insert next 1 billion things here.*
This could be intentional or even passive through leaked signals.
Damn! You beat me to the Shakey's Pizza South Park reference! Oh well, I guess I can wait until the next stem cell entry. Most likely that'll be this weekend, when it gets duped.;)
Sweet! Free game AND free crashes! I'm downloading it now! This is too good to be true!
Some reason when I see that picture of the squirrel and the name of the site it reminds of this picture that's made its rounds on the net. I'm sure you haven't ever been told that before. ;)e ls%20nuts.jpg

I believe 8.0+ supports nested transactions ('sub-transactions').l ease-8-0.html

I propose we call it SQL4Dummies! That should get the mass market all over it!
Damnit, I lost my mod points last night. You would've gotten a mod point otherwise.

Yeah, I suffered through ...err.. enjoyed it as well. :)

Ahhh, gotcha. Thanks for explaining. :)
Just wait until Google buys AIM/ICQ, and we'll see who gets the last laugh! :)

If there was a mod for: "-1 Sarcasm Detector Broken", you'd get it for sure!
Hey, let's not get recursive here! ;)

Which responds to the same sort of deal.
