Lordy, I remember the days when I had to decode an mp3 before I burned the CD because the burning software didn't do it itself. I had a 333 MHz compy and Winamp, which apparently really kicks the llama's ass.
the basics of reading, writing and arithmatic are indeed important, but students should have enough self chosen classes so that they have a good idea of what they want to do after high school. The basics make a well rounded person, but a career is about specialization.
maybe the slide rule idea may have been useful back in the day, but my parents used paper and calculators in school. I think its a little late to make kids start using sliderules when half of the teachers in my old high school were young enough not to have used them either.
i don't know, good home schooling depends on about the same number of variables as good public schooling. If a parent doesn't care enough to stay in tune with what is going on and how their kid is doing in public school how would a home school solution help?
Plus a parent who is home schooling can't really work a full time career and bring in money, so its not an option for many. I've seen home schooling generate just as many dumb wierdos as public schooling.
Thats all fine and dandy as a checkpoint on the road to energy production, but it costs mega bucks to build that facility and you need a lot more than unity to get a return on the investment in the construction of the facility and upkeep costs.
Thats just fine and dandy, but they wanted the 40,000th digit, so this guy is about as useful as me in that regard, less if you consider I can probably find a site with the 40,000th faster than him.
I have to wonder, plus I'm to lazy to RTFA plus I love hypotheticals, so field this: If all the fans blow outwards wouldn't it create a low presure zone inside the case? Also, if the rate of flow is inverted then a high pressure zone would exist inside the case. I suppose the best way to do it is to have all the fans on one side blow in and the ones on the other side blow air out.
We don't have to think of this in a bad way, they leave the right to make copies for your own use, plus that gives us good reason to repeal the tax on blanks.
Also I question what rights this give the CRIA, can they sue me when I download RIAA music? If they can only sue for their own music then I see an opening here.
But the most useful thing I see here is that if it does indeed pass then I will boycott the purchase (or download) of any Canadian music. I've already completed my Moxy Fruvous collection, what other Canadian music do I need?
In the case of US music I can't get away from it, most music is american but with the (relatively) small amount of music I like produced here in canada I am able and willing to say "I'd really like to buy your music, but your label has been repeatedly trying to fuck over your fans rights so I think I'm gonna pass."
Think of the handful of Canadian based musicians you like, just say screw you to them to make a point. Maybe the backlash will make them think twice about this move against those they are supposed to be entertaining.
alright, but there are applications where charge time is not as important as longevity or weight. True there are applications for a battery with a short recharge time but there are just as many applications for a lighter of longer lifed battery.
I'm not sure how that would work to stop me from making infinite copies. True, I can't copy from the copy I just made, but I can still make infinite copies from the original because its flags were not altered when I created the first copy, so its still original and copyright flagged.
Provide a feature for someone other than those who are paying for your product? Yeah, um, lets see how that works out for you pal. I will personally avoid these things like the plague.
"Man apparently sent out some form of probe that gave full directions to the place... "
and "The probe and the pictures were on a metal that was rare everywhere and worth a clanking fortune. And Intergalactic paid the Psychlo governors sixty trillion Galactic credits for the directions and the concession. One gas barrage and we were in business."
An upstanding citizen has come forward with a computer he 'found' on the street and sues the 'previous owner' because the fact that his data was encrypted is obviously evidence of illegal intent.
The previous owner was lynched later in the day and we applaude this model citizen for bringing this travesty to our attention.
Exactly. Locking my house is not evidence that I'm doing something wrong there! I can think of hundreds of reasons I would encrypt stuff on my computer that is not illegal in nature. If someone steals my computer, I can be thankful that I encrypted my personal information and he will never crack it.
Alright, so the choice has a minor bit of grounding in reality. Still doesn't make it sound less stupid. At least if he said '1,2,3, popsicles!' I would know he's saying it to sound dumb but saying 19 without explaination yet it supposedly having a grounding in something real is just fucking dumb.
They should have used normal, working flourescent tubes and ran a tesla coil in the room, the electricity would have made the tubes glow and completed the effect nicely. As a freak I know would say, "What could go wrong?"
I just downloaded the season last week to see what all the damn fuss is about and now I'm going through withdrawls, seriously. Damn the fuckers who wrote about it cause now I'm hooked on a canceled show. Firefly rocks and I'll buy the season the first chance I see it in store.
If I do not get more of that show I am going to strap myself up and blow something up!

Always with the need to glass things Chrispy, always.
High gravities, high temperatures, sounds like an extra-solar fat camp.

Oh yeah, and putting diesel, bio or otherwise, in your gasoline tank probably won't do you any good.
Or:
1)Spell 'pour' correctly.
2)???
3)Look like less of a dumbass.
4)No profit, but hey, you look less like a dumbass!

In this case, its 'Innocent until proven too smart for his overlords'

Of course... but it will take the form of another toolbar.
