Anyways, none of that really matters, what does matter is that The Prince is a study of effective tactics used in retaining power, nothing else. It doesn't question the morality or effectiveness of those in power, it just details what must be done to keep power.

the services are typically web-based, and do handle the full processing. A user logs in to the website, since it's a website access is logged and it's not your system that can be compromised. Otherwise you can store credit card numbers if you encrypt and password protect them, you can't store the CV2 number, which you can always bypass. Global Payments is a nice package for the little guy.

sorry I should have elaborated, there is plenty of COTS PCI/DSS compliant software packages, and there are lots of services that will store your customer's data, effectively alleviating you of liability (my favorite).
Mod parent way up. Capitalism replaced mercantilism, most people can't define capitalism because they only see it from what is called a "mixed economy". There are two types of capitalism, industrial and laissez-faire. Neither theory really applies to this story, in fact I would call this Consumerism aggressively applied to a public service in a third-world country. It's sick and reflective of US phone companies, it's simply been applied in a country where the consequences of such actions are grave. AT&T should be sent a bill.
I think the deals are being made all over the place, funny though when you look at it, it's still essentially a stalemate. I'm backing blu-ray, odds are you back hd-dvd.

I remember being in second grade, I found homework absolutely detestable. I'd pass the tests then have to do the same homework, I met a guy that just didn't do his homework and I thought that was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Well I did second grade twice and dropped out after 9th, got my GED and went to work. I never could stand homework where I knew the answers already. Now I've got my associates and I'm working towards my bachelors, as an adult college classes make all kinds of sense and are far more rewarding than self study. Public School on the other hand was terribly mind-numbingly monotonous.
The copy I read gave no hint of it being an Indian site, so reading was a little awkward, but I understood eventually that the interviewer was Indian.
Now, my take on India and Open Source Software.
The question of how to start developing OSS is in finding out, what you use it for. What India needs to do, to get into open source is to find out how India uses it. As a developer find out which projects you're best suited for, start using them learn what's on the outside, then learn what's on the inside, if you need to change something create a development copy and work on it. The next part is submission, submit your ideas and on and on. I might be mistaken as I am not a paid Open Source Developer (barely a developer anyways), but I would think most of them have OSS work out there that they did before they were paid. Maybe, it's the hiring process that eludes the Indian market, maybe it's the fact that the best open source software (applications, not CS stuff like kernel hacking) India can write will often be written for problems that exist in India?
I think I've seen Linus address this somewhere else, but I don't recall where, maybe on youtube.
This has always been an issue for third party publishers what they need to do with their modules is convert them, they still have good plots, adventures, etc
The question I'm curious about is whether it is time to continue with v3.5 for OGL compatibility, essentially forking a game, due to licensing issues or whether or not compatibility issues will be open.
I played 2nd edition, first edition cyclopedia, 3rd edition, and I've been interested in Open Game Licensing since around 3.5 I have visited the thread yet, but here's a link.
And it was indeed intermediate, I remember the conversion sheets, the day they came out, they weren't that big. And they were available before the books came out.

I don't understand why you feel this way. It seems you're asking for a discount and credit for a case that your lawyers were working on. Why do you think your lawyers should have worked for free with or without a loss? I'm sure they had bills to pay among other things while they were working on your case. Of course if they were spending a lot of time on your case I could see how it would get expensive quickly, but, if you can find a way to keep pace, you really aren't out of anything in the long run. It's like loaning your lawyer money to work on your case, doesn't sound that bad.
Did Mrs Foster have to pay the money already (what she owes you) or are you waiting for the collection of the RIAA money?
I'm guessing that Ray can't really answer this question. So, here's my experience with my likable lawyer. When I was getting divorced I had filled and drained my retainer three times, when it came to my court date I had about $50 left on account. My lawyer assured me, though that he would not leave me high and dry, the case was essentially won and I had a good track record for paying him. I assume that Ray doesn't intend to leave this lady high and dry simply because that check hasn't come in yet. It seems after all that the situation is won and pursuing the money is an means to an end for Ray anyways.

Most of them haven't read The Prince, the ones that have and still act that way are the really dumb ones.
nah, he needs to read The Prince by Machiavelli, a thousand and two times.
