    The lunch counter protests were a denial of service protest used by blacks to fight segregation.

    The fact that they were used by blacks to fight segregation is completely irrelevant to the conversation at hand.

    The fact that they are denial of service is exactly relevant to the conversation at hand.

    You're the one who came in screaming about race.

    Per capita they rank third for gun ownership yet they don't have gun violence. Assault rifles are a common sight in public because military service is mandatory and people take the weapons home. Sometimes they shop on the way home.

    You're going to semantic that away as not meeting your definition of "packing heat".

    Regardless they are heavily armed society with little violence which is the spirit of the point.

    Too bad the Air Marshal program is useless. The entire air marshal program makes about 4 arrests a year.

    More air marshals are arrested than there are arrests made by Air Marshals.

    Firing a missile 30 miles off the coast isn't shady. It's drawing lots of attention. That's the opposite of what the shady groups want.

    Accidentally taking down a plane would have the same problem. Major investigation into said shady activity.

    File a NOTAM. Put someone else's name (navy) on it. Shady group hides in the chaos.

    It's a couple orders of magnitude below most of your list.

    There's zero skill involved. The PS3 says there's an update required to connect to PSN. Would you like to install it?

    It's literally 2-3 button presses.

    What about when you're not accelerating? The vast majority of my commute is at the same speed thanks to cruise control.

    Also what about false positives? When I pilot a plane I'm allowed to use my cell phone. They haven't shown cell radios to effect steel cables so there's no risk. I pull way way more Gs in a plane than driving.

    Hell you swing your backpack off your shoulder and your phone shuts off.

    In short unless the phone knows why it's experiencing acceleration this idea is useless. The feature would be activated by false positive 98% of the time.

    The constitution makes no mention of sculpture nor books. Protecting both these under the first amendment was the doing of "activist judges."

    I contest that copyright law is broken. It's fairly sane at the moment. You infringe someone's copyright you are punished but allows for fair use.

    Most of the problems with the DMCA are not with the law, except for the circumvention parts which at least one judge has already struck down if you're pursuing a fair use, but rather with the states' legal system. When you receive a take down notice you can file a counter notice and your ISP has to put the item back. A take down notice is just a bluff. If you really are fair use file a counter notice and you're done.

    At this point they can still bring a suit to try and bleed you but that's a problem with the States' tort system and not copyright law.

    The anti-circumvention parts are bullshit though.
