Making a bigger LCD is innovative? (Not to imply that the Cinema isn't one of the single most beautiful pieces of hardware I've seen and that I'm not calculating exactly how much plasma I'm going to have to sell to get one...)
"If you're right (and I hope you are), then Apple is going to looked pretty bad when 3rd-party non-Mac-clone G4 computers start coming out (and that isn't very far away)."
Actually it is. IBM doesn't make the G4, Motorola does. But Motorola didn't relaese their specs, did they?
"The G4 is aiming for the geek market, but just doesn't have the features that would make it attractive for more than a few months." Hardly. No company (of any size at least) aims for the "geek market." There's no money in it. Apple's aiming for their traditional markets. DTP, graphcis, etc.
Both. The 400 MHz model available now is Yikes!, which is basically a Yosemite mobo with the ABD port blocked of. The 450 & 500 MHz models will be Sawtooth.
Ya, ATI bites ass, but next month MacTell will be selling Voodoo3 boards for the Mac. I can't imagine they won't do an AGP version considering that's the way Apple is moving (The non-AGP mobo is just something to get them out the door until the AGP mobo is ready). Also, if the GeForce is that superior, and NVIDIA continues to reinvent themselves as a company that sells chips instead of boards, we'll probably see a GeForce board from some enterprising 3rd party for the Mac as well. God I hope so. A G4 + that LCD monitor + a GeForce, the mind just boggles...
what kind of voodoo magic have you done to keep IE 4.5 from crashing hourly? I'd like to know cause that form-fill button is a lazy person's dream... OT, I know. Sor.
because, although the plant didn't burn (really. it didn't), the sprinklers killed off all the manufacturing equipment. and hey braniac, how does a fire at an LG plant and a bit of outsourcing make Apple suck?
hehehehe.
Katz does, in fact, annoy some Mac lovers. His prose is a little...overenthusiastic.
You're allowed to put whatever you want on your own hardware dumbass.

And if you can believe that, I've got this bridge I'm selling for a really low price...

well if you really want to nitpick, it's $6498 because you can't buy it without buying a G4 and that's how much the package deal costs.
registered user = automatic 1
now THAT is sad.
Both.

Oh Jesus. Do we have to go throught the whole Be is evil/Apple is evil thing yet again?

can't you just see the spit hitting the monitor while he's typing these well thought out (and rigorously spellchecked) replies?
Alive, yes.
But well?
C'mon now sport, be real.
Bitter much?
