Um...other than the month, that's exactly what they do do. They release the HC at one price point, the e-book for something less, then a year or so later, they release the MMPB and the price of the e-book is lowered to match.
Not to mention that the vast majority of authors aren't published in HC at all, so their e-books start out around $6.
Yeah, I hate to break it to them, but they didn't even slow those assholes down. The latest wrinkle is that they somehow spoof the Caller ID into showing a number one off from my home number.
We;ll see? What does that mean? They're 25 years into their career, they're still making CDs, they sell-out their tour dates all the time, and they tour frequently. What's to see?
How am I talking in circles? Do you claim that hard win/lose conditions are required for a successful game?
Again, I'd say that 54 million sales says that your wrong. You can claim it's irrelevant, but that would be you, being wrong. It's rather the opposite; it's the only measure that IS relevant.
Some games aren't necessarily built around win/lose conditions. Some games are sandlot building games. I understand that YOU don't find the gameplay compelling. 54 million in sales says that you aren't representative of everyone./I/ had literally hundreds of hours of enjoyable gameplay from my $15 purchase. By far one of my best ever game purchases.
Gameplay isn't necessarily shallow. Which is kind of the point to it's success. It's a sandbox that becomes largely what you make of it. I played it for awhile with a group of friends on a private server where we constructed a city over a span of months. It was incredibly detailed and had some absolutely incredible constructions (not really by me).
Yeah, no. Part of the reason for this complain is because apps were specifically being misleading about when actual money (as opposed to some sort of in-game currency) was being spent. Pretty damn close to fraud.
I wouldn't say ripoff so much as inspired by. Minecraft isn't trying to do any of the things DF is trying to do beyond procedurally generated content really. It's much more about the building, ie Legos.
No, I won't. I understand it just fine. BTW, what's you're reaction to the court statement yesterday 'clarifying' that this decision applies to ALL birth control methods?
That's the point. Part of those wages are healthcare, with premiums paid by both the employee and the employer. The corporation is trying to control how that compensation is spent.
Kind of like the android marketplace. Far more revenue, far less per average developer.
Not anymore. The comments are largely worthless at this point. I've seen books with five star ratings that would fail 8th grade English class.

Internet tough guy who is anonymous.
You seem really really invested in this. Lighten up, Francis.
I wonder if the 'Rachel' who supplied that voice recording is out there somewhere aware of what she's become a part of.

I'm sure you we're saying the same 5 years, 10 years, 15 years and 20 years ago. They play pretty undated music actually.
How is this post bashing Microsoft? It seems like a simple enough question to me.

And this surprises you on slashdot?
Pretty sure Pearl Jam is doing just fine.

There's no accounting for bad taste.

Heh. 'so-called scientists'. Good one. You should probably join the rolling coal movement.

The law is an ass.

When did I say I was talking about government approval? You're reading things that aren't there, bud.
Whether they do or not is utterly irrelevant. They're dictating how their employees use their compensation.

You can pretend that it's not about that in the end all you want. It won't change the fact that it is.
