On Windows, I always liked Drug Lord more. It's essentially the same game as Dope Wars, but with a better interface. I had a lot of fun/frustration trying to get on the high score board, but then I realized that it was sort of easy to cheat and assumed everybody else was since there was no way to get near even the bottom of the board without doing so. Still, it's a great game that I still occassionally play.
Thanks for making me feel sane. I don't use the cameras on any of the devices I use and don't know anybody who does. When a picture needs to be taken, I use a real camera that has the ability to have its focal length and shutter speed adjusted. Honestly not every device has to have a camera.
And I'm tired of seeing every study like this tagged as correlationisnotcausation. We understand, taggers. Yet you don't seem to understand that given a large enough number of samples, correlation implies causation. It's like you're saying, "Hey, I learned this clever, semi-alliterative phrase in eighth grade and I'm showing everybody how intelligent I am by abruptly and automatically stating it whenever there is any mention of a study correlating two things."
I don't see anything wrong with more similar, though I'm not sure whether you did either, and you might just be noting that it sounds awkward. Anyway he's saying that the difference in performance between the machines on LAN is less than the difference in performance between the machines on the Internet. So more similar = less different.
Disgusting, isn't it? Especially considering what site this is. But still I can't stand seeing two hypens in place of an em dash. For fuck's sake, CNN uses two hypens for em dashes in the tickers on the bottom of their shows. I know why the AP does so, but there's no reason for CNN to.
Hong Kong is not generally regarded as part of mainland China, though. It is technically a Special Administrative Region and is essentially autonomous in most aspects. Any comparisons between mainland China and Hong Kong are therefore irrelevant.
I hope to god that games don't start using this just to thwart cheaters. The one thing I do like about this, though, is that a user would use the same network bandwidth whether they use 2xAA or 16xAA, assuming that the server computer renders them in about the same time.
No, that's right. The user rpiquepa, the real Roland Piquepaille, would get modded down solely for being Roland Piquepaille, while the user Roland Piquepaille generally gets modded up for posting comments of some value. That or impersonating Roland, which at least in that instance I think has to be funny no matter how you see this.
Am I close enough?
Define "most"
2 Gb is only 256 MB. There is a difference between Gb and GB.
And I'll just ignore that you didn't put a space between the numbers and their units and that technically this should all be MiB and GiB.
Replying to myself.

*Verbally mods up*

I wish I could have gotten my sentence of eight years of Bush overturned because of source code.

First Red Hat and Microsoft, and now you're bringing Apple into this?
It appears as though you're unaware of this, so I'd like to point out that Photoshop runs on Windows as well.
Type — for an em dash.
Information visualization expert? I think that's my official job title, but I go by pie-chart-maker.
The biggest gotcha for me was that sockets now use byte arrays instead of strings.

While we're on the subject, haikus are not intended to have 17 syllables. They have 17 hyoon moji or morae, which are different from syllables.

And there is completely nothing about the programming.

Man, karma be damned, this is the first post I've bursted out laughing at on Slashdot in a while.
P.S. Your website is of immeasurable value, assuming you are RyanVM of ryanvm.net.
