  1. Teach them the Value & Risk of IT on Ask Slashdot: How To Teach IT To Senior Management? · · Score: 1

Senior Management won't listen to IT people unless they are told the Value of what you're about to tell, and the Risk of ignoring it. The more you can relate to the moneymaking process, the better. Keep the more technical stuffs brief, and if possible liken them to the business process they understand. Other important thing I learned, never make Senior Management looked stupid, no matter how clueless they are, especially in the company of their peers. Good Luck!

What would you do with 16GB in your pocket?

In my case: Ubuntu or Debian partial repository.
A 250GB USB-External-Harddrive is not as that portable.

  4. What about Liquid War? on Harvard Phd Vs. About.com over Gaming · · Score: 1
    From http://www.kidsrisk.harvard.edu/ :
We defined violence as acts in which the aggressor causes or attempts to cause physical injury or death to another character. We did not include damage to objects, accidental actions that unintentionally harmed another character, the effects of natural disasters, or the presence of dangerous obstacles that could not be attributed to the actions of a particular character. We also did not count as violence any intentional acts of physical force that represented normal play in a sports game (e.g., tacking in football or checking in hockey), because the intention of the player is technically to stop the other player without causing injury. We did count excessive physical contact in sports games, such as punching or otherwise attacking another player (e.g., after the football play was over).
Since in LW we're trying all the time to eat every opponent's "soldiers" to assimilate them into ours, it's 100% violent then?

When IPv6 is finally implemented, IP address will be much longer than your phone numbers Then you will appreciate the use of FQDN When will it be implemented? After Vista SP2 released, I guess... :-)

Most users won't download a whole new browser just to try out a new Google feature. They might not even realize they have to...when a site doesn't work right most users assume it's the site's fault, not the browser's.
In this case, I disagree. When Windows Vista with IE7 renders Google's stuff badly, people will know that it's IE's fault. Because it's Google. We all love Google, don't we.... :-)
