Particularly bad as one imagines avid fortnite players with a ps4 probably logged in at some point for a look-see even if they didn't / don't actively play the game there.
The article isn't specific as far as I can tell but is this in terms of dollars or in terms of percentage? e.g. an increase from $5/hour to $8/hour is a 60% improvement but the end result is still terrible.
I mean its the BSA, of course they have a history of exaggerated claims many of which have been covered here on Slashdot in the past. The shocking part is more that is is being covered as news on Slashdot instead of pointed out as absurd.
Instead of just updating Google Goggles which has been broken for years yet is still available in the store they've add a second application which does the exact same thing. Internal politics at work.
I'm on record as being anti-Tesla corp, there really isn't precedent for pre-ordering mass market cars (just rare ones e.g. BMW M2 or early Ferraris) and at the end of the day Tesla got to earn interest / avoid borrowing 400-million dollars for a couple years.
Honestly it should be higher, I imagine most of the people pre-ordering were given the false impression they'd have their cars or an order date last years. You can't plan your life around promises from a car manufacturer, I suspect there will be a lot of people cancelling when they get the opportunity to order as they'll be locked into leases or finance deals.
Netflix & Amazon are TV, they're just a different delivery mechanism. We didn't talk about cable destroying TV as it became more popular than antennas.
Youtube & Facebook are different IMO as they serve an entirely different kind of content.
If you think back there was a lot of buzz around some similar issues for Kindle. As a non-Apple user I'm not sure they ever resolved the issue allowing users to purchase books from their iCrap.
I disagree - I often use subscribe like a bookmarking feature and its not uncommon for some channels to put out a relatively large number of videos or to simply have some content that isn't interesting to me. That said the only change I really need is to allow subscribing to playlists instead of channels and for YT to roll up videos from one channel so I don't have big blocks of them.
Remember how Microsoft's chat bot instantly turned racist after exposure to the internet? Now they've given it a phone which will enable it to start swatting people. Wait until they give it legs so it can join supremacist rallies....
Agreed. But even with those incidents my underdstanding was the death rate per mile is much lower than with human drivers.
Tesla at least cherry-picked where autopilot could be enabled to the easiest scenarios, and since the driver is meant to give 100% attention the real question is how often did drivers need to intercede to prevent an accident.
Its very odd to me that you'd think it was about FUD. One could make an argument that Black Duck was protecting open source developers from others stealing their work.
In terms for security these claims really shouldn't be seen as a knock on the quality of OS libraries, the reality is only trivial software can be perfect and pretty much every piece of commercial software has had security vulnerabilities.

Unlikely given 2-days ago Trump was asking for Russia to be re-admitted to the G7
Or lies about historical regulation.
Or lies about how the internet was built & evolved
Or lie about the impact of regulation of telco's profits
Or lies about impact of regulation on rollouts.

They supposedly refactored Android to make it easier for manufacturers to provide upgrades yet they're still abandoning the Nexus 5X and 6p

Azure Github by Windows featuring Sharepoint and Skype communications.
Thats just fluoride in your water talking :p
Honestly though, people are concerned about Facebook and privacy, LinkedIn is many times worse.
Apple did the iPad pro and its sales of tablets went up
No, Apple's uptick in sales relates to offering one for $329.
Its more than just software, MS also sells most of its crap to enterprise where the margins are higher.
Is essentially cherry picking profit from the rest of the company pretending it comprises a cloud offering.

I'm sure an indie game critic is an expert at South Korean copyright laws...
It didn't actually, the author of the hunger games hadn't heard of it.

In addition to battery failures, add corrosion, shorts, rodents chewing wires, nesting in electric motors, etc.

Maybe this stat will be relevant when there 10s of millions of electric cars 10-15 years old without adequate maintenance.

At this rate by the time they have the 35k model available the tax credits won't be.
Chevy already beat them with the Bolt last year.
