    My recollection was that she got into trouble for conducting government business through personal emails to avoid reporting requirements.

    Ford and other car manufacturers are largely liable indefinitely for defects with their vehicles, why should software & phones fall into another category?

    I think the idea that the manufacturers want a large variety of phones is incorrect, the issue is that carriers around the world push them into it. Much like Walmart etc push TV manufacturers into weird variants.

    Not really different than any other advertising network. Just use an ad blocker and block the facebook domains for third party.

    Robots actually could start it. Presumably the clip in question is a relatively small part of the Family Guy episode, thus reasonably a 30s clip of a 25 minute show would likely be reasonable use.

    I posted something similar on previous Slashdot stories, I'm not a believer forcing search engines to censor results but the way Google's done this is artificially structured by TLD. If they want to do business in the EU then they should follow their laws when someone in the EU is accessing Google services regardless of TLD.

    Call me when the EU starts trying to censor results of people searching from Canada.

    I think charactarizing this as a men vs women is misleading, the issue sounds more like a complaint that people who aren't in the intended audience (sorta like how action movies always have a poor rating by critics). The answer already exists, click through to the details and eyeball the distribution if there are a lot of high ratings and it sounds like your cup of tea ignore the low ratings, if you aren't sure consider them.

    Its not even simply the banks, its the fact that they were then subsequently grouped up as low risk investments.

    It doesn't even sound like he stole it form someone 'bad' like the people who caused the sub-prime crash and walked away with their millions of bonuses over the years prior.

    Presumably they have a tos which was likely violated. In the EU there is also copyrights on compilation of data which may also cause problems as OKC would own it as a collection.
