  1. In what universe? on Tech Sector Expansion Blunting U.S. Job Outsourcing · · Score: 1

I graduated 2 years ago, and had a very, very, hellish time getting a decent job - especially in the entry-level programmer space. Ever since BillGates.exe (sound that out) was talking his smack about not enough talent, I've had trouble getting a job that actually required any CS knowledge. To be honest, I tried to not work with Microshit technologies.

Where are these jobs? Should I move out of the midwest and work on .Net crap?

  2. I will upgrade on Survey Finds Few Intend to Upgrade to Vista · · Score: 1

I have an open mind to upgrading. I am not scared of change, and I am not scared of bugs. Yet, I am scared of geeks who think there should only be one OS to rule them all. This includes zealots and tribalists who choose to run only one platform for whatever their reasons. The vista license allows me to still use my powerbook, my linux , and my pretend amiga box.

If anyone is interested in getting the most out of an older Mac, please see this example site. http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/

I recently refurbed a Pismo (with the nice bronze keyboard.) New HD, Wireless (3rd party, and found it immediately), and Battery. This is a 6 - 7 year old computer, yet runs Tiger flawlessly, and since it had firewire back then, I will getting an external HD for Time Machine.

I could have upgraded it to a G4, but as a secondary machine, decided there was no need.

  4. Samus Aran on Will The iPhone Kill The iPod? · · Score: 1

No large sunglasses that make us feel like we are Samus or maybe a Predator will be the way to go. Imagine also a wrist-watch for interfacing with your mp3/navigation/PIMing, etc.

Most geeks don't have taste. Add the fat and the smell, and you will see why they masturbate all the time. They do have the arrogance of dismissing things they don't understand. Oh crap, was a I stereotyping?

  6. Re:Clever Campaign. on SanDisk Baits Apple And Woos Rockbox · · Score: 1

Comparing possible customers to sheep is like the Microshaft Office ads, that portray customers/users as dinosaurs. the iDon't website is preaching a reactionary, Rated PG - safe revolution against iPods. It's really light on genuine reasons. At least the 1984 ad promised something. I'm not a sheep though I enjoy goatse....
