    Keith Olbermann was just as bad as the clowns at Fox, but they fired his ass, didn't they? While I agree that there are asshats at both ends of the spectrum, Fox is rightfully criticized for having such an astounding collection of asshats all in one place.

    Corporations were originally conceived so that volunteers working for charities could be shielded from liability for the actions of the charity. If they'd left it at that, it would be perfectly ok.

    Correct on both counts. But any system that allows new people to join in without being referred by a trusted party invites participation by government infiltrators. Consider key exchange as a form of formal introduction, like a fraternity handshake.

    I didn't say that filtering the information given to jurors was a bad thing; I was pointing out that the summary makes it unclear whether the smart phone ban is aimed at jurors (which makes some sense) or at everybody in the courtroom (which is ridiculous).

    The drone is designed to relay video back to the user in real time. Meaning that if the signal from the drone is jammed, it is fairly useless, even if it does go to way points. (Yes, it could still record some video and play it back upon return. But by then, the bad guys could easily have moved.)

    From what I've seen of Beck, he really is batshit crazy. Hannity is just an idiot parroting the party line. O'Reilly at least makes a pretense of being civil and fair. O'Reilly is the most respectable "journalist" at Fox News, but that's kind of like being the least slutty girl in the whorehouse, isn't it?

    Anybody possessing one could reverse engineer the command and control system for the drone and come up with a way of jamming it, rendering all the other drones still in possession of the military useless. So yes, it IS a big fucking deal.

    I'm pretty sure allowing jurors to watch "Fox News" and it's ilk would constitute ample grounds for a mistrial. You don't think media can sway people's opinion? If it can't, then the $1 trillion a year companies are spending on television advertising is a complete waste of money...

    If your intention is to deliberately keep jurors ignorant, then yes, jurors should be banned from using smart phones while sequestered. If your intention is to keep spectators from leaking information about the trial, that ship sailed a long time ago... the technology to undetectably get pictures and audio recordings of testimony out of the courtroom has been around for a while.
