The Bearded Lady didn't have a part in building an incredibly successfull company, she just sat around and well...grew a beard. I see the point you are trying to make, but the fact is evil or not...Bill Gates IS an interesting person.
Hell, if Saddaam Hussein walked into my computer science class unannounced I would consider it mindblowing.
No matter what your opinion of him, if the Richest Man in the world suddenly showed up in your Computer Science class as a guest speaker, that would be mindblowing.
Alright, My school is famous now! Quite a suprise when I saw Miami on Slashdot. Sadly its just an embarrassment.
But yea, we are a relatively big school considering that alot of people haven't heard of us. Basically from what I heard prior to coming here we are known for being extremely preppy and having an endless supply of beautiful ladies:)
While I was never a huge fan of the show(back when it was decent), it was pretty entertaining and worth watching. What G4 has done to the channel drives me crazy. I want the old TechTV days back!
This is the "mantra" that drives me crazy...I don't want things to just work, Because my, Microsoft's, my neighbor's, and your opinion of working are all probably very different. Just working means I have to spend a lot of time "un-working" things.
Switching to open-office in a school enviroment is a great opportunity to show students a wonderful free alternative. Even if the school CAN afford office for every computer, that doesn't mean the students can afford it for home.

I leave mine on discoverable as well, the convienence factor decided for me, and it hasn't been abused yet.
I've just started reading the first novel, and I'm looking forward to the movie(high hopes).

Definately, Whenever I use a Swing app i feel as if im back in the early 90's... actually discourages me to use the application.
