Apple is introducing the Mac mini as a secondary CPU to the Windows user that has been interested in seeing what the buzz is about OS X and the Mac in general.
The cost is very close to the lowest cost Dell once you match up the features.
The processor are pretty close in speed
The Windows Gamer can get a Mac mini and a KVM and while online playing games can switch over and do the things that the mac does with out the threat of Virus, sypware ect
Its more like a test drive. If you like it you'll have no problem spending more money on a higher end Power Mac

Belkin Has a KVM for $20 Its VGA (Mac mini come with a VGA to DVI adapter) The cables are about $10

FYI Apple attemped the Fast Search Back in the Early 90's around the time of the Quadra 950. It was mainly for server searches.
