anything that is accessible by typing a URL into a browser window might as well be published.
I disagree with this.
I know that hackers(script kiddies, Urlers, people with no idea, whatever you call them) can get control over some sites using phpnuke, by typing a special URL into their browser window, allowing total control of the sites content.(in my case it was defacement:()
Being able to get around sites by typing 'hack' URL's is _not_ getting to stuff that 'might as well as' be published. In theory, web devs shouldn't put important things un-encrypted in the url, but that's not the case, and the fact they do doesn't make it public domain, it just means they can't code
It's like if your car key worked for a guy's similar ignition, would it be illegal to drive off with his car?
If this guy was talking about the new macosx update he'd be trolled till he was stone, but i guess there aren't exactly as many windows lovers as there are apple fanboys.
Its just interesting to see whats acceptable for against windows, then against apple.
and to claim that a major OS that the majority of the world will end up using isn't "stuff that matters" is a joke.
School district police received a tip from students
I know he admitted to the charges, but I do question the reliability of 'students' for the source that he was going to sell answers. It just seems a bit weird as students love to cause trouble, and say there was another student knowing he had this logger in practise, a few quick lies could bring some quick satisfaction..
The other big problem is that while the Steam network is down even the offline games are unplayable.
This is only half-true.
Once Half-Life 2 is decrypted and fully running, it is possible to set it to be playable offline, hence not needing an internet connection to run it, and the original single player games can be played from their original applications, not through steam.

Never knew Korean language was actually specified as different for Adults and teenagers!
Bet english and a lot of other languages _could_ do the same.
