I can honestly say that I'm very glad that you weren't just trying to flame my religion. I'm surprised you know as much as you do about it. Yes, most of it takes part here in the Americas, after Lehi brought his sons here across the ocean. They brought the plates on which a copy of the Old Testament was inscribed, and prophesied the coming of Christ some 600 years before he was born. Then He came to visit after his crucifiction and Resurrection. Yes most stories originated here, which are in the BoM. There are some interesting pointers as to the truth of it... like Joseph Smith major lack of education during the translation, but if you care to know anything about it, please e-mail me any questions you have. P.S.: wasn't born a Mormon, and never thought I'd join. I had a lot of misconceptions which were cleared up by a good Mormon friend.

Misinformation on his part? My friend you are sorely misinformed about the Mormon religion. I will save it from another flamewar here, on Slashdot, but no, Gabriel didn't bring our texts. Moroni guided Joseph Smith to the plates. Gabriel had nothing to do with it.

Best way to handle IMO, buy. Send money to Google, goole tells seller to ship, and gives shipping money. Google auto-wathes FedEx delivery, once received, give money to seller. If doesn't ship within 7 days of reciept of money, call / e-mail to see what the hold up is. That way if something went south, you can give back the money to the buyer, and they only lose the shipping.

Though I have never personally been to Europe, I have friends from all across, who have lived there, then moved here. The shady side is still shady. So rather than setting up straw men, how about you answer the questions? BTW the GGP said nothing about "a normal Western country - not the US"

Have you ever been into the shady side of town? I mean really... take your girlfriend down to the shady side, and while she is being raped you can tell he guy in front of you with an Uzi that the weapon doesn't exist. Then when they're done gang-raping her (since you don't have any weapons you have NO CHANCE of stopping them), then take a walk to your nearest mafia outpost (New York camera stores work fine) and walk in there and start insulting family names. You'll get to see thugs with big weapons all right). IF you live through all of this, then maybe you'll see the "basic human right" you disparaed earlier to another person you said we didn't have: the right to prtect yourselves.

BTW: yes, I did live on the rough side of town. And yes, I did have to defend myself from the gangs. So, yes I understand this, and THAT is why I hate gun control. Give everyone the same weapons as the thugs have, and there'll be less thugs. 1 at a time, men will get tired of watching their girlfriends/wives being raped.

You mean there is no way to stop people who read their notes on the way to work, even though they swerve around on the road? Man, we should take away all cars, becuase we know only criminals use them during their getaways. There is no reason to have a 3000 lbs death machine unless you're going to use it to kill some poor helpless child in a parking lot.

The answer is education, NOT prevention. And making it SO frightening when you commit a crime, NO ONE ever wants to commit a crime again.
