    Look, I work on medical studies in research all the time, and virtually ALL of them say that moderate caffeine consumption is good for you.

    Cardiovascular risk factors are much more of a risk for far more people than vision problems are.

    When you get old your eyesight will go. Deal with it.

    Probably a dododecahedron. Either that or Mobius Strip that hangs from your ear like jewelry.

    Full of the Look and Feel of Microsoft B.O.B. it will be a bouncing baby boy that had an entire OS written for it, while gutting the desktop OS, instead of sensibly keeping them separate.

    It will come in two colors: Rave Green and Puke Yellow. But if you pay $200 extra you can get one in light blue.

    I remember when one of my colleagues in Statistics brought in her son, who was amazed that there were actually male scientists in US statistics, biostatistics, and medical genetics.

    Up to running into a few male post-grads in the lab, he had only seen women in these fields. ... oh, wait, you mean male sexism. Yeah, might be a problem back east. Even the UW Engineering school is starting to see an uptick in women engineering Doctoral and Undergraduate students. Less so in Computer Science, sadly.

    Adapt. Or Adapt.

    There is no other choice.

    I just replaced a whole bunch of bathroom candle flicker lights, that in total burnt up 200 watts of energy in 2 bathrooms, with LED bright white lights that use 18 W total. Cost me $34 at Costco.

    Now my bathroom lights are actually brighter, the light is warmer in visual spectra, and they should last for a decade.

    And I saved money on my electric bill with ZERO emission/recycle problems that CFL bulbs have.

    Bizarre that when I look into a turned off bulb I see a bunch of chips, but hey, it works better than the old incandescent lightbulbs and way better than the compact flourescents, and I can just toss them in the trash when they, in the distant future, burn out.

    So .. what is your problem? Just get over it ...

    There are multiple UW. University of Wisconsin, University of Washington. I went to Capilano University (2 degrees) in North Vancouver, BC, brief stints in military colleges and local BC colleges, SFU, and Post grad at UW Seattle, as well as NSCC in Seattle and Oracle, Sybase, Access developer and DBA courses/certs and even wrote most of the Access 2.0 toolkit (too many people hard coding stuff that was better as packaged libraries) and some of the C menu systems that are public domain.

    Now for an EE PhD from the UW. My son's going for his BSc EE here soon, after NSCC and SCCC EE.

    You say it's a wall post, but do you actually have an account with both .ca and us attributes?
    Shows up in the middle left upper message slot, between fr and posts/activity.

    I think the problem may lie in multiple country permission groupings - Canada has stricter laws than we do in the US, for one thing, and the implementation may differ, causing interesting side effects for certain people.

    You may think they're private, but it's really FB resetting the privacy and having a default of no privacy.

    So if I'm a friend of person A and person B and both have not SPECIFICALLY disabled my ability to see them and I enable viewing all from both, I get to see what person A says to person B.

    Maybe if FB wasn't so p3rv3 this wouldn't be an issue. Like if they respected privacy.

    They're already selling your "private message" content to advertisers to allow them to serve you ads.

    It's possible it's related to either the US or Canadian domains, as my FB is tied to both, since I'm from both countries.
