    Um, I don't think this is going to work for the masses, even if we can now do DNA sequencing for about 1/10th what it cost just two years ago, and we have protein folding solutions for HIV thanks to the work of the UW's Baker Lab and all you great volunteers.

    Look, the vast and overwhelming quantity of infections are in areas where not only are people very very poor (no, poorer than that, think a couple hundred dollars a year for a family), but they have 2-3 other major infectious diseases to cope with.

    This "solution" may provide promise for First World Nations, and the rich elites in the world, but that's about it.

    Sheer economics. Polluted/dirty water is the major problem worldwide, quite frankly, ask any epidemiologist.

    Not only that but Microsoft's "per processor" policy will quickly be changed to "per screen". Cos people are starting to use multiple screens, ya know.

    Don't see why.

    All my computers have 2, 4 or 8 CPUs in them, so why should I subsidize people in mansions who can't read?

    On G+ you can reply to Game events and it stays defaulted to the Game Circle you created for the Game App.

    On FB it's hard to do that.

    Now at least it's possible - plus no more of those tracking apps that "list your friends" in a "picture" to grab your data.

    I've never been to a UW football game, but I've been to championship winning crew and soccer competitions. In Seattle, soccer is more popular than old fogie football. We're a feeder college internationally for soccer players.

    Twitter only was used by peeps like me in other countries to rebroadcast the pics and vids they tried to pretend weren't happening.

    It was Blackberry messenger that was being used to coordinate things.

    Total insanity.

    Btw, I used to do counter-terrorism ops, and right now high-end automobiles are being burnt in record numbers in Germany.

    You can't put the genie back in the bottle - either create jobs for youth and stop subsidizing the rich, or watch your country burn.

    Lets you read color PDFs, edit them, and access all the scientific journals and notate them.

    Nothing less works as well.

    While it is true that certain pathogens are virulent and can be airborne, ebola for example works so well because it has a long enough cycle to allow transmission.

    Instantly lethal pathogens don't spread much, since they aren't mobile in a host. Visible signs early slow spreading.

    You're at far more risk from food contamination in the food supply or sunstroke, actually.

    That said, wise decision for the actual Facilites doing pathogen research (which include some I've worked in).
