I just read that letter you linked to, is he really saying that he'll sue his own bar association if they take action against him due to complaints from the public (which, surely is what a bar association is meant to do)? WTF?
Whenever I think our lawers are crazy here in the UK, you Americans always find one to go one better (or worse as the cae may be) As Shakespeare said in Henry VI "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers". I suppose Jack will now try and sue Shakespeare for incitement to violence.

How is IRC "officially dead"? I still use it and the servers are usually quite busy. IM and IRC are totally different. I use IM for talking to people I already know, but I use IRC to talk new random people. IRC isn't dead it's function has just changed.
I don't understand your point. No one has ever charged me for F(O)SS, I've donated, as I've donated to websites, weather by clicking ads, or cash. However I've never used a pay-for web service (unless you count selling on Ebay) as nearly all these are duplicated on public domain or free websites. If I like the product or service enough(and happen to be in a generious mood) I'll pay somthing, otherwise not.
At least they aren't having the place named after them like all the other greedy SOB corporations do
Actually I'd rather they did try name it after themselfs since football is the national game here in the UK, and as this is the national stadium, think of all anti-MS feeling that would develop. People who never otherwise would have cared less, would want to boycott MS. How do you do that people ask: answer == F(O)SS. Think it wouldn't happen? My local football team tried to name it's stadium after an insurance company, there was enough of an outcry to stop it, although the insurance company still officially has its name in the stadium noone uses it. Allow me to explain; initially the stadium was to be called "The Friends Provident stadium" the fans forced it to become "The Friends Provident St Mary's stadium" Everyone, even the media now refer to it as "St Mary's Stadium".
Indeed. On the other hand, although I use adblock, if I like a site, I'll disable it (ctrl-shift-B) reload, and click on some of the ads. Websites need to generate income somehow, in order to cover hosting costs at the minimum.
That dosen't in any way exclude it from being a democracy

I'd say the USA fits into more than one of those catogories.

Yes dear fellow, the loss of our empire's just not cricket is it.?
I think that the GP has forgotten that there are many here in the UK, like myself, who couldn't care less about the days of empire; me being a 3rd Gen Indian immigrant and all. The loss of empire really hit me and my family hard.
I think that's got to be correct, as I have a vague memory of Word before the grammer checker underlining duplicate words in red, like the spell checker.
Although IIRC !? is technically correct, people have tried to clear up this confusion with the introduction of a new punctuation mark into the english language: the interrobang
Seeing as you couldn't be bothered to follow the link & instructions I posted, here's what it says:
...Economically, Hitler was well to the right of Stalin. Post-war investigations led to a number of revelations about the cosy relationship between German corporations and the Reich. No such scandals subsequently surfaced in Russia, because Stalin had totally squashed the private sector. By contrast, once in power, the Nazis achieved rearmament through deficit spending. One of our respondents has correctly pointed out that they actively discouraged demand increases because they wanted infrastructure investment. Under the Reich, corporations were largely left to govern themselves, with the incentive that if they kept prices under control, they would be rewarded with government contracts. Hardly a socialist economic agenda !
[we wonder]if the Nazis' self-definition of 'socialist' would be quite as eager to believe that the German Democratic Republic was democratic.
Just because somone calls themselfs socialist dosn't make it so.

You don't need to outrun him, just the short-fat guy who's with you.
Well, what about the Mexicans, Brazilians, Argintinians, Ecudorians...etc.

No, it's just a ban on using public money on manned space flight.
Video on demand. And it's common here in the UK through Sky, just look at their millions of pay per view channels.
Look what you did, I just spluttered coffee all over my keyboard. ;p
Someday it will even be Ajax
No it won't, Ajax is a dutch football team

Then don't buy a PC with an AMD processor. Simple; what are you complaining about?
The Nazis weren't socialist:
