Google's cache does throw off web stats somewhat. Run a protocol analyzer such as ethereal and view a cached page through Google, if you click the "cached text only" link, you will notice that your computer never talks to the source box. So you can browse anonymously, I use it at work to get around those pesky proxies...
You will never get ALL of the analyst to agree on anything. One of the big reasons for the boom in the late nineties was Clinton's decision to de-regulate the telecom industy in '92.
I would love to see Google go after the weather market. Weather Channel's site is terrible and hasn't changed 5 years. It won't even automatically bring up the weather for your area in less than 1 click. Google seems to be well positioned to corner this market as well.
But in Bill's defense, he did three years at Harvard, which is a much better education than you'd get by graduating from most other schools.
That is such a misnomer. I was part of a team in college that went to a national database compition where the studens were anywhere from small-private schools to large state ones and Harvard was by far the worst. The cost of tuition and mystique of Harvard has much more to do with the connections you make and thereby, it opens alot doors for you. The in class education is by no means extraordinary.

The plans also include...alerts to cell phones in the event of major emergencies like a tsunami
Having just read the previous story, now I can't help but wonder 'what ringtone would best signify the impending doom of a tsunami?'

The U.S. R&D expenditure is bigger than the next five countries put together
Ahh, yet another example of CIV3 paralelling our world!
