    Probably, but they more than make it up with game licensing/royalties. Just like inkjet printers...cheap as hell, but ink is worth gold to sellers.

    I seem to have been misread... I was aware of the power drain when the computer is simply shut down (damn that cmos battery and motherboard light...) The power supply switch I was referring to was the one actually ON the power supply, not the one hooked through the motherboard. Or was I understood right, and does it STILL draw power when the master switch is off?...

    It defaults to https, can be set to crappy old http.

    On a side note:
    Cue the tinfoil wearers saying that the possible pandemic is a vast right-wing conspiracy (tm)(c) to convince people that evolution and survival of the fittest is BAD.
    Think of the millions of children (possibly) dying!

    More Likely:
    First, the US doesn't "own" the moon. We just thought the flag would be pretty, and is a good first measure of an outer space pissing match.
    Realistically, whoever is up there will pretty much be in control of what goes on. Or whoever sends those people supplies.
