    From http://www.dmiblog.net/archives/2006/07/why_you_sh ould_be_able_to_sue_1.html:

"Stella was 79 years. She was a passenger in her grandson's vehicle. She ordered a 49 cent coffee at the McDonal''s drive through, and was attempting to open the coffee to add cream and sugar while the car was not moving, when the cap popped off, spilling coffee in her lap. Because the coffee was heated to between 180-190 degrees fahrenheit, and because she was wearing sweatpants which absorbed the coffee and held it next to her skin, Stella received third degree burns on her inner thighs, perineum, buttocks, genital, and groin areas. These injuries resulted in eight days of hospitalization during which she received skin grafting for her burns. Stella was left scarred and disabled for more than a year."

Quit citing this as a reason for a frivolous lawsuit. I find it amazing that the one case people cite most often as being frivolous is completely legit.

  4. Lame on Facebook Changes Provoke Uproar Among Users · · Score: 1

I got back from work today, propped the dorm room door open, slid off my shoes, and logged into Facebook. I could hear the uproar all the way down the hall that the new Facebook was now stalker central. I looked around at the changes and realized why they were saying this... it's one thing to have an interaction with specific people, while it's another thing for all your friends to be notified that you're having that interaction. I'm not a Facebook creep, so it's really not that big of a deal, but anyone who spends too much time on Facebook like I do is quickly going to realize these changes are overkill. To notify everyone of every little change is a bit much... maybe when someone posts some new pictures... fine. Maybe for interactions between you and the person. But to see everything they do with everyone? It's going too far.

This is a pretty good decrease in consumption, but according to http://computer.howstuffworks.com/monitor10.htm "CRTs are somewhat power-hungry, at about 110 watts for a typical display, especially when compared to LCDs, which average between 30 and 40 watts."
