You know, I often find that the coolest and most brilliant snippets of code come from momentary flashes of genius (or insanity). Working with more restraints really does squash creativity in the way things are done. Different people have different agendas, and a committee who doesn't see the brilliance in one person's work can throw it out altogether or ruin it completely by trying to do things with it other than were originally intended.
This reminds me of that Flight of the Conchords episode...
Murray: There's something I need to talk to you about. It's not good news. Planet Jermaine. It's supernova-ed. Yeah, there's nothing left of it apparently, just a huge gaseous cloud and the beginning of a black hole.
Personally, I've never had a good experience with an FM transmitter. I bought a Griffin iTrip for about forty dollars, and it wouldn't work unless it was on the corner of the dashboard next to the antenna. It chewed through my iPod's batteries, and even when the radio could pick its signal up the sound quality was mediocre at best.
Then my friend gave me another transmitter that worked better than the iTrip, but after a while it broke and the sound only came out of one speaker in my car.
Now I just burn CDs. They aren't as convenient as an iPod, but they sure do make everything easier (not to mention cheaper).
