oh, he should be driving a GM made in the Chinese or Mexican factory built with our bailout money?
I suppose you are reading slashdot on your all-american computer? ha! big corporations with politicians in their pocket have been systematically destroying this countries ability to produce real wealth for decades.
. the M-388 is as small as it gets, 10 to 20 ton (0.020 kiloton) yield, in a 51 lbs. 31"x11" dia. package. you might get that in a large back pack on a strong guy, sorry, you might ruin a city block of light buildings with that, but you're not going to be taking any capitals off the map.
politicians are as disposable and replaceable as toilet paper, this is not remotely a concern. 99% are just a bunch of power and money grubbing scum in the pockets of mega-corporations, their lives and actions are only a detriment to society and mankind
silly to make a general statement about the many kinds of radiation that form "cosmic rays". UV - the visor of the suit is coated to block this, and the rest of the suit blocks it. X-Rays and Gamma rays, not enough to be a problem. Alpha - suit blocks them. Other charged particles, the earth's magnetic field protects agains them below the van allen belts. Other high energy particles do penetrate, but not so frequently to cause a problem.
you've watched too many cheesy sci-fi movies. The human body can take 0 mm Hg pressure just fine, you have a thing called "blood pressure" inside you, your blood will not boil. Moreover, you can research yourself what the biggest issue will be, noted scientist's exact words "expect to fart a lot"
you must do only one task for long periods of time. some of use need to synthesize from many running apps. some of us have workflow, and we don't want some ivory tower GNOME3 dweeb to dictate it to us
uh-huh, but my employer expects me to use my personal home gear for a couple dozen hours a week. maybe if they paid me $150 / hr for use of my gear I'd agree with you
It is "racism" to notice that at a certain period in history one race made achievements in civilization that another did not? But one thing is for sure, we can always count on psuedo-intellectuals like yourself raising the "racism" smokescreen in lieu of intellegent discussion of the topic.
Radioactive dust kicked into the air? not much. the extra decaying atom per cubic meter of air we detected on the US west coast is nothing. ditto for any extra contamination in the oceans. get it through your head, the contamination problem with FD are a very local one only.
all new reactors have passive cooling. let's build more plants, its the only sensible green power solution we have at present with the actual ability and capacity to drive progress and quality of human life forward. low density energy sources like wind and solar are only good for peak shaving at best.
The reason reactors are being restarted is to avoid further damage to the economy. Japan needs its nuclear reactors to ensure continued quality and length of human life. There was never a reason to evacuate Tokyo. it is too far away, and the radiation levels there quite insignificant except to chicken littles. The only dangerous levels of radiation were withiin a few miles of the FD plant. Get a grip
terrorsts don't want to aim big jets at "small buildings", they don't matter. "We have brought death and destruction to America by destroying the 3613 N. LakeShore apartment building!" People go ".......?........well,..... sucked to be those tenants..."
Note, address is fictitious, there are no buildings on that side of the street on that block, it's a lake shore.
Matz designed Ruby with "principle of least surprise" in mind. No, not for you. you might be surprised or not. It's whatever causes least surprise to the creator Matz. 8D
but substantially built skyscrapers, not the cost reduced crap Twin Towers, have robust beams and thick insulation sufficient to withstand a period of time of burning aviation fuel. A substantially built skyscraper can withstand such impacts, because the momentum of the aircraft is a small thing when added to huge mass of building. Get it through your head, real skyscrapers can withstand such things. A piece of shit with flimsy struts joining a small inner core and outer core cannot.
why do I bring up burnnig instead of mere melting? because the steel in the twin towers was BURNING, molten steel flowed and parts of the steel structure burned for weeks after the collapse. No thermite needed, there were metal fires.
you need to be berated and mocked, of course burning hydrocarbon fuel is hot enough to ignite steel. In fact a burning piece of paper can do it, apply such to steel wool outdoors in a safe spot and see the result. The only reason you can't ignite a tire iron with a match is because heat is conducted away sufficiently for a small heat source.
Cars and steel train cars can burn to the ground in a gasoline fire, that's reality.

It's also a Greek exclamation of job made by Grandpa when he blows his load.
spacesuits also protect against radiation, extreme termperature, and small micrometeorioids.

I like the one with all the naked Grace Park cylons
not a valid point. Iron girders aren't poured on-site for a skyscraper either, nor windows fired from sand and lime.
I can assure you I am very proficient in all three of those languages. Ada had its day, peaking in the late 90s but in decline ever since.
oh my, Ada. COBOL meets Pascal. ;P

no one cares about the two remaining Haiku experimenters

Not seeing relevance of what happened to a five story structural concrete office building built 70+ years ago.
