I've never seen a motherboard *without* a parallel port or serial. they're not connected, but they are there. hell, my two month old motherboard with the trendy eSata and DVI for six core chip has floppy and "game" port on it!
Governor Rick Perry of Teax in announced plans including tanks and warplanes to protect the USA from Los Zetas if the Mexican government collapsed. Los Zetas was formed in 1999 and is getting bigger. so they are having growth problems....what was your point?
the heat of the fire will warp and break any watertight joints and bulkheads, and the thing will sink while burning, still full of fuel. that has happened to hundreds of steel ships.
in fact, let me put that in stronger terms, we in the United States are ruled by cartels. In 2012 we will go to the polls and decide who will continue the cartels' agenda
how long has the western banking cartel endured? (at least four centuries). How about the deBeers diamond cartel? what on earth makes you make such a bullshit assertion?
there are all kinds of crazy "laws under discussion", this article claims such restriction on MLK speech exists today such that one can't even hear or read it. That's nonsense, it's all over the web, all over in books for decades
the complaint I have is kids sitting like lumps all the time instead of wanting to do something requiring even a little bit of activety. that's very unhealthy. well, at least some video games require jumping and moving arms, let's hope that technology keeps raising the bar in activity.
one easy way, especially for big corporations, is to quiesce the database and take snapshot or clone with your SAN controller or host based storage manager, or don't quiesce it and just run recovery on the snapped image if you ever need it.
indeed, this article's premise is bullshit. I've the full text in at LEAST two history books at home

I'm looking at the two speeches. Both have "america the beautiful" lyrics at start, big deal. The 2nd paragraph have some similar parts and same idea but King's has better adjectives. Then there's the 3rd paragraph of Kings which Carey doesn't have......not plagiarism.
I have the text of his speech. I've heard the recording of his speech in school (circa early 1970s). It's on youtube. it's available as mp3 and other formats via torrent and amule.
you're not thinking fourth-dimensionally, Marty. All you need is a stinky reporting database accessed from web server, that happens to have read-only link to the mission critical one. Then SQL injection attack on web server to wind up the SCN number....
there are other ways for ordinary users to ratchet up the SCN number, including the example in article given of a read-only linked reporting database having its transactions/sec pumped up
but our wars are fully funded from point of view of cheerleaders and "defense" contractors, they get their money right away. other chumps get saddled with the debt. really war in the USA is method of extracting wealth in the present from its citizens and their descendant's future, it's not just about foreign resources.
uh huh, and I've ten stories of utter failure of chkdsk after loss-of-power for your one. robust except when it isn't. of course, I have the same complaint about ext3.
I wonder.....I suspect the next thing will be to come out with shiny new replacement for pci-express that won't accept "old" non-DRM cards.
to clarify, not connected to plug on exterior case, but certainly working and functional if ever needed.

news for you, that's what cartels do, they put government in their pocket! it's called corruption. all cartels involve government

quite right, when Teamsters or United Steelworkers lay in wait and beat up a scab, it makes the news
no point, slashdot readers already know about SOPA PIPA. Let google and wikipedia raise awareness with the uninformed.
I'm old, these are history books published less than seven years after his death. I'm doubting it

but it's fine if you're running Linux in a vm under Windows to verify proper function, that's not the type of situation I've seen make trouble.

what would that gain, it would be a 4GB .rpm or .deb
there are plenty of other ways to perform hot backups than the ALTER DATABASE/TABLESPACE BEGIN BACKUP way.
