    Google paid 1.5% of the company in stock to purchase YouTube. Google stock jumped 5% on the news. Purchasing YouTube resulted in a profit for Google.

    Because this interface leaves a lot of extra room in the left pane, it's probably a precursor to customized search categories (e.g. the ability to add a blog search, video search, financial search, scholar search).

    Wait... What part of the article summary led you to believe that the scientists had "isolated the specific component that kills HIV" AND "determined that it is safe for human injection" ?????

    From their latest Quarterly Report:

    "the main focus of our advertising programs is to provide relevant and useful advertising to our users, reflecting our commitment to constantly improve their overall web experience, and therefore steps we take to improve the relevance of the ads displayed on our web sites, such as removing ads that generate low click-through rates, could negatively affect our near-term advertising revenues."

    Just because they're a public company, doesn't mean they can't run an ethical business. Especially if its part of their image. And considering their shareholders have realized gains of 300% over the past year, they don't have very much to complain about, do they?

    In fact, when it gets down to it, maybe - just maybe - you can run an ethical and a profitable business.

    I have examined all the data and come up with the following:

    Underground, unproductive, utopian "15 year old nerds" have usurped all the uncool blogs in the universe to form one massive "uniformed," yet unambiguous blog that underreports '"Wouldn't it be cool"' news' 24/7 like a new breed of mutant "die-hard mac heads" that gain sustanence only through "eating Google brand noodles" and killing harmless websites...

    and I'm right with you........except for the 15 year old part.
