> Gtalk with all the features available that the windows version has, such as chat logging and voicemail support. If there was ever going to be a killer app this would be it.
I wouldn't call it killer. There are already 2 clients for linux that do everything (over most protocols) but voicemail, and voicemail isn't really that important or fun.
Actually the interface is the most important feature in such an app. It's what most people see when they run it for the first time. (First impressions are the most lasting ones)
To be honest it's the only thing most people see at all. Do most users see the XML file format? Do they see the inside (hidden) improvments?
No, they see the GUI.
No! Don't start learning the 1000 difrent programming languages. If you trully need to learn one, learn pascal. It's simple and easy to learn.
But the essence of programming are algorithms. Learn to think structuarly, sistematicaly, and thy shall learn the truth.
Will linux users form a mob? Personally i doubt it. Considering that most linux users (at the present time at least) are geeks (with low self respect) they will not take any decisive action. They'll probably wait for others to see the true power of linux and convert.
[[Insert clippy joke here]]

Also, there are no computers worth mentioning in North Korea. Cheers.
