To us older extensions with RC3 go to about:config. Look for extensions.lastAppVersion and set to 1.5. YMMV but don't complain if something gets f-ed up.
Wouldn't that make it difficult when many of us emphasize points using italics?
The i have not looked at his style sheet, but i'm sure the italics tag is only over-ridden in divs with a class vaule of article. Something like: div.article i { display: block; padding-left: 20px; borger: solid 2px #cccccc; }
I wonder if Peter's design going to be used as-is, or if Taco will make a few tweaks to it first. For example, Alex's design incorporates quotes as separate, indented paragraphs. Slashdot not only lacks this capability today, but Taco himself pointed out that it is not feasible given how much the quotes and editor comments tend to be mixed. Perhaps he's changed his mind?
Seperating the quotes does not require a change in the page structure. Right now all quotes are already in italics, so all he had to do was re-define the italics style with a border and some padding on the left.
And while we are at it... Pixar is Disney which is ABC, and Steve Jobs is Pixar, and Steve Jobs is Apple, and iTunes is Apple, and iTunes already sells some ABC shows. Interesting, no?
That's why Google agreed to the censership. China says 'Okay, if you don't censor your search results, then we can just block your entire site to our billion citizens.' Therefore Google's censorship isn't really blocking anything because the government would block it either way. I still think their my be value in Google standing up for what is right, but they are a public company and I'm sure the stock holders wouldn't be too happy to be banned. just my thoughts.
Google's EPS is higher than Apple, Microsoft, and Yahoo's combined. You guys can all sit back and call it a "scam" or whatever, but you better be comfortable in your cubicles. There is a reason the rich get richer: the stock market works. The dot-com bubble burst of 2000 is proof it works, not proof it doesn't.
You and your mods obviously do not understand how the stock market works if you think that buying Google stock is comparable to a pyramid scheme. I am sure you know more than those guys at Piper Jaffray. Google stock is seems overpriced because there is so much potential for growth that hasn't be actualized yet. They could have a 10 to 1 split and trade at 40-45 and 90% of the people on slashdot wouldn't say a word. Understand what you are talking about people before you speak.

I don't get gift wrapping for anybody. I figure the big brown box is good enough for me to save the $3.50.
Also, I get what your saying about the shipping address and all that, but they should just have a little check box if the item is a present. That would be a lot easier that trying to deduce the timing and nature and every purchuse.

The problem with Amazon's sugestions is that they don't know which books or cds you bought for yourself and which ones you bought for someone else. For example, I bought my mom a Mary Higgins Clark book last year and now everytime I go to Amazon I get all these recomendations for romance novels.
