I really wish they'd release Sketch-up for Linux. Updated versions of Picasa as well. I find it a bit strange that they don't since they have such a large number of employees using Linux.
You can do all the background checks you want. If a representative of the Chinese government says "Here's 20K$ to hand us some code", a very large percentage of people will say "Deal". If a representative of the Chinese government says "hand us the code you work on, or your relatives in China disappear", a very large percentage of people will say "what sort of media would you like it on".
It may or may not, I don't care, but locking hardware to a specific platform is a dick move and generally an indication that a software company is abusing its market position to influence hardware manufacturers.
... and tell everyone you know not to buy them either. This part is important, as 'geeks' are not that numerous, but the influence of many is very large.
There's really no money in defacing OpenStreetMaps. With the admitted contracting of an Anti-Google campaign by FaceBook at least, I wouldn't put this past their competition.
Bonch and his puppet accounts are well known for posting pre-typed pro Apple or anti-Google as first posts. There are a couple of similar Microsoft shill acounts that are almost certainly paid astroturfers. Bonch and the others may or may not be paid. They get modded down regardless of content.
They haven'y bought government representatives like their competition (nor should they have to). I think they should move their company headquarters to Canada. It would make an excellent statement about the SOPA and other restrictions coming, as well as the state of the patent system in the US.
It's especially strange since Apple explicitly forbids people from selling applications that duplicate the functionality of the built-in ones, and also has forced people to pay them for subscription sales. I think Google may be being punished for their anti-SOPA stance.
End of the social bubble? Basically that would be the end of the age of open communication we used to be headed for. Thanks do draconian governments and corporations, we seem to be headed towards a new form of 'Dark Ages'.
Sadly, 10 lines would probably give them a leg up on some of the people I've seen in the industry. I really don't think it can get any worse. Anyone that will stick through a year-long "teach yourself to code" series may actually have more skill than someone who stayed in a training program that they paid for.
I find it a bit ironic that media and publishing companies call copyright violations "theft" after having this put in place. In my opinion they are holding our literary and cultural history hostage.

... and the Linux version is called LOIQ (Low Orbit Ion Cannon in in Qt) ... you know, should any of us 'linuxfags' want to participate.

It's pronounced 'retarded'.
Well, I'm glad at least a portion of their budget seems to be coming from the MAFIAA.

That would explain why it's so poorly attended.

Almost as important is telling everyone you know that they should not buy one either.
The real trick is top stop electing the crap-weasels that are putting forward these lobbyist's legislations. They're quite obviously for sale.

I'm just amazed to see an Android story without a first post by Bonch or one of his ilk.
So the rosy future of software development directed and controlled by Microsoft and Apple? Awesome. I'm sure that will work out well for all involved.

Mmmmmm, Tasty, tasty elitism. They do say that you are what you eat.
Man, your elected representatives really seem to hate your country.
This one from Amazon is actually pretty close.
It means he's done enough damage to the stock price to make it affordable. It amazes me that what they did is considered legal.

What, you mean like cell phones do?
apple even has a tool for IT drones to do it automatically
With helpful information like this, I can't imagine why people call Apple fans elitist douche-bags.
