They're not entirely new OSes, they're just 00.x updates. Comparable to a Windows service pack. And 00.0.x updates are comparable to major MS security updates.
Well, the mirrors can be made as small as you like. Just makes for a smaller focal point. 150 half-centimeter diameter circular mirrors. If you were careful to align them all right, you could mount the whole thing in an 8 inch diameter cylinder. Could even stager the alignment of the mirros a bit, to make a "stretched out" focus point. I say put it about 20 feet forward maybe.
Oh, but it's for the children! We must protect the children! If they go to too many porn sites, they might forget to take their 80 milligrams of Ritalin every day!
Now, where do you get that idea? My Firefox runs great, and looks right at home among my X11 apps and terminal windows;)
Seriously, though, Firefox does work for Mac. It runs a tad faster than Safari, and has compatability with nearly all plugins that are supposedly Windows-only. I mean, really, I don't see anything at all wrong with it.
Safari, especially the version that run on 10.2, is slow as a dead dog. Camino is fast, very fast, and positively blazing compared to Safari. Ya damn troll.

What did he do wrong? I see no obvious errors.

Someone ought to mirror this (pardon the pun); the site is getting sluggish already and I have a feeling it'll be going down in the next 45 minutes.
"...for those who request it." They're going to go to the trouble of blocking specific subscribers from viewing these sites? Or am I not getting this?

Speed. Speed speed speed. Camino uses a small fraction of the resources that Firefox does.
I wish they still called it Chimera. Camino reminds me of the rusted-out junk heap sitting on cinderblocks in my neighbors front yard.

I would think Firefox would be Firefox for the Mac. It is very nice, though, primarily because it's a lot lighter on the usage of system resources.
Sfari's popup blocker isn't enabled by default. Under the Safari menu, right below preferences. You'd be amazed how many people miss that.
