Witness the new political norm in action, people. Just label your opponents Nazis or fascists and then anything you do to them--be it censorship, assault, or even murder--then becomes justified. Such is modern political discourse.

I used to be turned off by PC games because I hate playing with a keyboard and mouse. But with most games on PC now supporting controllers the same as they do on consoles, it's really becoming a level playing field. And with more mod availability, better graphics options and more hardware customization options, the PC has a strong leg-up on its console competition (for now at least).

As consoles are becoming more and more PC-like and PC's become more-and-more console like, I think it may be a dead issue soon. You'll just play you game on whatever medium you prefer, and get the same experience either way.

Purely symbolic agreements like these are a symptom of the larger problem: No one wants to make the REAL sacrifices to address the problem.

I'm still somewhat skeptical of man-made climate change myself, but if you're going to accept the idea, then you also have to accept the idea that fixing it is going to require real sacrifices. Symbolic gestures, talk, commitments to make sacrifices far in the future (long after the politicians who made said promises are safely out of office), etc. aren't going to cut it.

Right now everyone wants to talk a big game, but they want someone else to make any actual sacrifices. Al Gore lectures me on energy efficiency, then gets into a SUV and drives home to a mansion that uses 10x more electricity every month than my family does. Politicians promise that some other politicians in the future will make sacrifices, but not them of course. Business CEOs promise that some other CEOs will cut emissions by 2035, but not them and not now of course.

If you believe that this is a problem, then step up to the plate and tell your citizens and businesses that they're going to have to sacrifice NOW. Because vague promises for the future isn't going to cut it. In short, put up or shut up.

Sadly, it may be too late. We've already handed over control of almost all public discourse to private companies, companies which are free to censor that discourse at will. They're already using that power to censor ideas from the right that they disagree with. And many leftists are celebrating that, championing it even. But that's a mistake they'll regret.

You see, what these anti-"hate speech" leftists have failed to consider is "what ideas are going to be censored next?" Do you really think that this handful of super-powerful corporations who you've ceded control to are going to tolerate anti-capitalist rhetoric, or calls for higher wages, worker rights, higher corporate taxes, and unions? Ha, not for long! And you've been the one who championed them having the the right to censor, never thinking that power could be turned against YOU too. But once they've banned the "Nazis" you can bet they'll come after the "Communists" and "Socialists" next. And you Bernie bros will end up just as cut off from all the major social media outlets as your bad-guy-du-jour Milo Yianopolis.
