They still end up with the same credentials. And if they're a good enough bullshit artist, they can even do better in a job interview than me. Very few universities actually require someone to take a final competency test before awarding a degree. And very few companies test a potential employee's actual knowledge before hiring. So a slacker waltzes through to a degree on other people's work, and into a job based on credentials he or she didn't earn.
It's bullshit any way you cut it. Good students shouldn't have to carry the lazy dumbasses. It's just a way for schools to cover up their weak students.
The CIA has been working hard for decades to destabilize the remaining socialist/communist governments in South America. Looks like they've succeeded in this country at least. Of course, it will ultimately backfire and produce horrific results, as it always does when the CIA goes fucking around with South America or the Middle East. But that's just more fun from the three-letter agency that never, ever learns.
I'm always wary of anything involving group work. A typical group consists of me doing all the work, maybe one other person helping me, and two or three slackers doing fuck-all. So why should I have to share my good grade with the slackers who didn't do (or learn) jack shit?
Actually, my cousin's internet price went DOWN with the switch from Time-Warner to Spectrum, and he got a huge speed boost too. He was paying $70/month for 25Mbps from Time Warner. When he called Spectrum, he found they were offering 100Mbps for just $65. And that's not promotional pricing either. That's the regular rate.
Of course, I still get to brag that I have fiber. So I can still rub my speed in his face. But he's getting a lot closer to where I'm at, and for $5 less than what he was paying. No complaints about Charter/Spectrum from him!
No one likes smokestacks or tailpipes. I bet if there were a fan club for smokestacks and tailpipes, it would have very few members. And only a few mothers ever say to themselves "I hope my son grows up to be a smokestack or a tailpipe."
In short, I think most people are okay with these regulations.
I've heard that you basically don't get a lunch break working in their warehouses. Because your lunch break is only 30 minutes, you can only eat in the break room, and most people work so far away from the break room that it would take over thirty minutes to walk there and back--so no one gets to eat for their shift.
I've also heard that the temperatures in their warehouses can get insanely hot in the summer, since they apparently don't bother air-conditioning them, even in the deep south.
The headline copies a confusing mistake from the article headline. "Delaying" should have been "Delayed." Apparently, the headline author not do English so good.
This whole thing has had "trainwreck" plastered all over it at least since Bryan Fuller left. Fuller has a great TV track record and solid Trek experience. When he doesn't want anything to do with a Trek project, you know it must be a piece of shit.
The guy still lost a day of his life, and they still have all his stuff for an indefinite period of time. So he's already been punished pretty hard whether he ultimately wins or not. And the cablecos obviously intended for this to send a clear message, "Pirate and we'll make you pay." And they've already sent that message loud and clear, whether they ultimately lose or not.

For anyone interested, here's a good read on the subject. A little out of date now, but as timely as ever.

I don't want a doctor who learned how to learn. I want a doctor who actually learned.
Ask no further questions.

Well, there's always money in the meth stand.
They'll be gone soon anyway.

DS9 was the best Trek show ever. It was the only one where the characters acted like anything remotely resembling real people.

Up to 4G.
this isn't legal here either.... and uhh enjoy your actual gestapo
Says the guy from the country where cops are kicking in doors and arresting people for blasphemy against Islam.
Canada does actually, under section 2 of fundamental freedoms of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Well, you might want to let this guy know then.
Justin Trudeau has already issued a statement calling the female lawyers heroes and offering them government jobs.
The article says they had a court bailiff with them.

Don't worry, these guys say it's perfectly safe.
People wouldn't have to pirate.
BLM video spewing anti-cop or anti-white hatred? That will be flagged "okay."
Conservative video suggesting MAYBE Trump is right about immigration? Oh, that's HATE speech--permanent ban!
No, when Android did it, it was stupid and unnecessary. Now that Apple is doing it, it's innovative and cool.
Physical ballots are still the best way to do it. The added confidence and security is WELL worth it.
