Now, the house of Orange comes from the city, originally "Arausio", in southern France. This was named for the local Celtic water God of the same name.

Thanks for pointing that out. I looked at it and thought, Arausio was a Gaul camp. Now to figure out why the Celts where in southern Gaul during a period of time when most everyone was trying to get way from the Romans.

It will work more to their benefit. Books during those times were filled with Cristian fanaticism and bigotries. In fact. It will be hard to tell Bachmann, and quotes from any t.b/rep, from the books.

They should definitely get rid of the tariffs. It would help alcohol based fuels to become strong globally. In a wold where multiple fuel types are going to be needed to replace oil it would only benefit society as a whole. At the same time they should repeal subsidies for oil companies. But, since attacking Obama on every front is the republicans only goal neither would never happen.

If there isn't OpenGL support in other browsers HTML5 canvas will be better in IE than any other browser. In other words, convincing everyone OpenGL support is evil and scary when IE gets HTML5 canvas support it would put them in the front of graphically rich web interfaces.

The word "more" is important in my post. And yes, without gcc most FOSS applications wouldn't exist including the linux kernel and git. However, I was pointing out that Stallman's contributions were not just physical but philosophical. Also that his philosophical contributions were "more" as in greater than his physical contributions. To simply say Stallman contributed gcc and emacs in comparison to Linus' kernel and git would leave out the philosophical contribution by Stallman. Thus. One was "more" physical. The other was "more" philosophical.

I would agree with you but RMS contributes more philosophically where Linus contributes more physically. For example, Louis and Clark were pioneers. They didn't come up with the whole manifest destiny "god said we could have the land if we explore it" attitude. The concept came from some politician. That isn't to say I would equate open innovation with manifest destiny.

Brilliant! Something to that effect needs to be placed at the foundation of the copyright laws such as "forms of derivative". Add something like, "can not exceed base time period if it doesn't expand on the forms of derivative". if someone invents a spoken language and or instrument they can extend a copyright. If they do not expand the forms of derivative then the patent expires into public domain.
