The first line is to thank you for being a friend.
The second line is a metaphor describing life as a journey.
The third line is very deep. You can meditate for hours on the connections with the first two lines: cosmonauts obviously take long journeys, for example.

The second stanza is again a metaphor, this time on life being a party and the importance of having good friends. This again connects with the sentiments from the first stanza.

The more important aspect of the truth that's slowly leaking out is that U.S. officials are finally admitting that it was on a spy mission inside Iran and dropping that ridiculous cover story that it was just flying around Afghanistan and accidentally may have strayed into Iran (oopsy, whoopsy, did we cross your border?!?).

Actually the drone was just going for a hike along the border. There's some wonderful scenery in that area. It had no idea it had strayed across the line into Iran until the Iranians captured it. It certainly was not doing any spying and hopes to be released soon so it can return to its journalism career.

So why do accident rates go up when states ban cell phone use? :) I realize that's not a fair question, but it's an important question here. Just because cellphones cause accidents doesn't mean banning cell phones will prevent accidents. We can't uninvent cell phones, so we need to learn how to live with them.

States tend to only ban handheld use. Switching to handsfree allows drivers to make or answer more calls but has no effect on the amount of distraction they cause. It would be interesting to know if there is any kind of training that could be done that would allow people to use phones safely while driving. Not sure you could get anyone to fund the idea.

The real problem is that devices are Subsidized. If you don't pay for all of the device, should the company be able to lock you in on the device? I think they should. If they can't then it becomes harder for them to make their money back and they will stop subsidizing devices. Once the contract is over, or if you paid full price, then you should be able to do whatever you want.

The contract obligates you to maintain service for 1 or 2 years or else pay for the phone. Once you've signed the contract it's your phone. Hint: who's on the hook to repair it if it breaks?
