Sure, that is a possibility - but is it common? I mean, do we really want to make up laws upon theoretical problems. I have never heard of anyone accused for such thing with flyer (or anything as harsh either)? Have you?

  2. Re:This won't stop them turning it into an issue.. on Stem-Cell-Like Cells Produced From Skin · · Score: 1

Actually, what kind of serious human stem cell research existed before the bush administration? None, so is it really THAT strange that he was the FIRST president to authorize it? The only thing he didn't do was to authorize it fully, that should have been done.

If this was a question on whether to experiment with living embryos or not, it would be an issue regarding the rights to experiment with life. But actually stem cell research is only experimenting with aborted embryos (read dead)- why wouldn't you on earth accept that? Will God be pissed? heck - if that theoretical being had the possibility on getting pissed, he would be that already, a long time ago.

  3. Re:Confusing The Issue on Does Hacking Grades Warrant 20 Years in Jail? · · Score: 1

Are you kidding me? I mean 20 years for killing someone, sure. But even if he broke entry AND kicked the ass out of the owner and stole mhalf his appartent, in Sweden we wouldn't go for more than maybe 2-6 years. But what do we in Sweden know, we only have one third of the crime rates (ex. getting mugged) compared to USA.

Stop kicking criminals ass and start helping them. Punishment only lead to harsher society and not a better place to live in.

The problem with laws that catch less smart outlaws and leave the rest of the group to use their super-skills without worry is that people that _aren't_ doing anything wrong will find the law just annoying!

But, you _need_ the key to decrypt the actual AES encryption! The password is just used to "scramble" the key!

well actually the RSA encryption technique was made up by brittish mathematicians post ww2 and then classified by Brittish gov, but they didn't get anything from it since it was partly patented before the classification was removed (i think 50 years later, in 1999 or so).

  8. rights to your music on Music Exec Fires Back At Apple CEO · · Score: 1

The license and system behind rights is old-fascionable and belongs about 100 years back from this date.

Change the system to comply with new techniques for distribution, it doesn't take 5 years anymore to distribute your songs, it takes 0.1 s with a 10mbit connection.

Free market is a nice word, too bad almost no one have the wisdom to implement it correctly and modify laws  continuosly.
