The article is incorrect as to the inventor. The real person is Jack Schitt, which brings us to the real question, who is Jack Schitt?

The lineage is finally revealed! Many people are at a loss for a response when someone says: "You don't know Jack Schitt."
Now you can intellectually handle the situation:

Jack is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt.
They had one son, Jack. In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The Deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deap Schitt and Dip Schitt.

Against her parents objection, Deap Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout. After being married for 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later remarried Ted Sherlock and, because her kids were still living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Shitt Sherlock.

Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a son of nervous disposition, Chicken Schitt.

Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens Wedding. The Schitt-Happens children were Daawg, Byrd, Horace and Bull. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.

So now when someone says "You don't know Jack Schitt", You can correct them!

Sad situation. But we all know money talks, so maybe you can show to the right person(s) how much extra money the pro-microsoft stance is really costing them (TCO) and they may change their tune. Perhaps putting it in terms of their vested interests, such as, "with all the money we will be saving on open source, maybe we can all get a raise!" would be more effective.

I'd like to echo the sentiment of many others - ubuntu is just too buggy. The first version I used seemed to work ok, but had warnings saying that several drivers were missing, so I upgraded to the next version (9.04). It had password issues that I had to go into grub to fix, and it never worked right. I couldn't update anything because my root pw was hosed. So I waited until the next version (9.10), bought a new cd for $0.99 on ebay, reformatted the hdd, and ended up with the same issue. So I took a chance & switched to linux mint. It too worked fine at first, but after the first batch of updates, I ended up right where I started from: with a bad root password so that I couldn't upgrade anything. This time I reformatted & only installed updates with a # 1 or #2 on it and so far, it's ok. I'm a linux noob, & have been tempted to go back to windows, but at $300-$400 for a brand-new version of windows 7, I'm going to stick to linux. At least its extremely low cost ($0.99 on ebay), open office is free instead of several hundred dollars for MS office, & I don't get all the malware. Not to mention I can install it on as many machines as I want & don't have to activate or register it. But when the next linux version comes out, I"m going to wait a while to see how it goes out there before I immediately jump in.

I used to be a search engine results evaluator for a company that does contract work for google. (Yes, google does have humans rate sites besides its complex, ever-changing, and mysterious algorithm). Sites like these are rated as off-topic and get flagged as a spam site as well, which would drop their rankings. Thus, they would get fewer traffic hits, and google would make less money off of them. So I think its just a temporary gig for the spam site - they try to make as much money as they can before the inevitable demotion in the rankings.

Google should thus do a better job of screening the sites in the first place and prevent them from even getting into the system. In the long run, this is what actually pays off the most for the almighty goog because this would make for a better search experience for their customers, which is why google is the number 1 search engine in the world and how they make so much money in the first place.

  23. Re:A Christian's take on Texas Textbooks Battle Is Actually an American War · · Score: 0, Troll

Allow me to shed some light on this. Here are 2 very familiar verses taken from the standard king james bible.

    Genesis 1:1 & 2
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Now here's the punch line: in verse 2, the first word "was" in the ancient Hebrew texts is actually "BECAME" and not "was". This makes all the difference in the world. Now the question is: HOW did it become that way? If you read in Isaiah 14 & Ezekiel 28, you will clearly see that it was lucifer who is to blame for the destruction of the first heaven and earth. That is how it became without form and void.

The Hebrew words for "without form and void" is "tohu va bahu". It purposely rhymes (which is a figure of speech) to draw our attention to it.

    Isaiah 45:18
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

The words "in vain" are the exact same Hebrew word "tahu" in Genesis 1:2. He did NOTcreate it without form; it BECAME that way.

Therefore, all the chaos, destruction, & confusion of Genesis 1:2 did not come from God.

    1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

This is the second verse in the bible showing that the one, true God did not cause the chaos & destruction in Genesis 1:2

Then who did? Satan, who is also the thief.

    John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

This again fits perfectly with what Satan did in Genesis 1:2. No contradictions at all.

Take a look at these verses for even more verification.

    2 Peter 3:5-7
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

In verse 6, it tells us about the world that then was (past tense), which refers to the first world, which was in Genesis 1:1. We are dealing with the passage of time here. Now look at verse 7 - it says "But the heavens and the earth, which are now" (present tense). It's the heavens & earth we live in today.

    II Peter 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

So there you have it: for all time, there are 3 heavens & earths: the first one in Genesis 1:1 that God made; the second one that we live in today (that was destroyed by the adversary, & God rebuilt), and the third heavens & earth, which is still future.

Very simple: past, present, future. It all fits perfectly together with no contradictions.

Now another question is: how much time was there between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2? No one knows, but there could be eons of time there. That is the time period where all the dinosaurs lived.

There is evolution only within species; never between genus(kinds of plant & animal life).

God made the universe for the earth.

God made the earth for man.

God made man to praise God and love him out of his own, freewill choice.

So it is evolution that does not belong in the textbooks.
