The reason you never saw 56k was the FCC limited the 56K modems to a theoretical max of 53k because of fears of crosstalk on the lines.
The reason that two modems when dialed into each other never exceeded 33.6k was that you needed one end of the 56k connection to be on a digital line so that only a single DAC can exist on the line (the one from you to the computer upstream since you're on an analog phone line and your ISP isn't).
Openroad being the OO Programming language that seems heavily intertwined with Ingres. Used by at least one mid-range market ERP system (Adage) http://www.infor.com/ in the process chemical industry. I was always under the impression that Ingres/Open road (especially since OR 4) were one in the same.
Then let's start working to develop even more Apathy. Because the only group I find more annoying than OS X users are Linux people who are pissed off when somebody choses to not support their platform.
As a Type 1 Diabetic for the past 30 years, I'll stick with 4-5 insulin injections a day. At least if I get a cold, I won't have to then go back to being a diabetic, after having gone without being one for a period of time, that would be even more disappointing.
Most anti-rejection drugs are injected too... Having maintained a 6.0-6.5 HBA1C score for the past 4 years consistently hasn't been that difficult.
The research is great, but Stem Cells and therapeudic cloning are the real solution, not transplants.
You can play Speedball on a 360... I picked it up from Xbox Live's marketplace. I too enjoyed smashing people with a steel basketball. :)
SCOXQ is still available on Sharebuilder.com .13/share right now.
