Well we all have our complaints. Everything I've seen shows wind unable to ever scale under current tech. The grid in America can't handle long distribution schemes total wind would require, even if that would work. But, either way, it takes more of a breakdown to battle through than I have time available right now.
I agree. Fundamentally, we should get out of Israel's way and let the middle-east situation play out. Russia and China could give all Arab countries weapons for free and they would still lose to the skill of Israel's military. Anyone that thinks Israel will fall to any Arab nation is delusional.
Pick any place in the world where a "genocide" accusation was levied, and you get a death count in the hundreds of thousands at least. Over the past decade, less than ten thousand Palestinian were killed by Israel (this number includes Palestinian killed while holding and using a weapon, which would not, normally, be counted in the "genocide" statistics). If Israel is committing genocide, why is the death toll so low?
Either Israel is attempting genocide, but is being completely incompetent about it, or the genocide accusation is pure bullshit.
Well they sure as hell let all their "leaders" steal the aid money from around the world and stuff it into Swiss banks. Oh, wait, I forget the Arafat made billions of dollars from his Coca-Cola bottling plant in Ramallah.
There never was a country of Palestine. Go kill the Jordanians that slaughtered the rebellious "Palestinians" back when they were called Trans-Jordanians.
Yes, it did not happen during his tenure because those decisions he instituted during his tenure required playing out through the minefield of regulation. Or do you live in a world where 100% of regulations display immediate feedback?
Yes, because somehow spewing millions of tons of radioactive materials into the atmosphere is better for humanity than having nuclear reactors in place that do not pollute the atmosphere and cause cell mutation on a global level.
The reality of your assertion is that nuclear using technology that drove weapons development is expensive to use. LFTR technology appears magnitudes cheaper from the work I've seen conduced at Oak Ridge. UK problems with nuclear have more to do with maintaining 50-year old technologies. I'm sure the people in India right now building LFTRs aren't losing a penny. LFTRs process the waste from previous systems as fuel. Imagine that.
You should travel to Arizona and visit the copper mines. Thorium is ling around in piles waiting to be used for something more than dirt. Haiti has plenty ready to use, too, I understand.
Really? Where does one find all these pinnacles of society? These people without bias sure as hell don't exist anywhere I've seen. Moral superiority? Get real.
One of my best friends is American-born of Indian ethnicity and his parents immigrated legally way before there were H1B Visas. Last I heard he was the lead developer for a $600 million project. He certainly didn't get position through AA.
These scientist need to understand that the people writing the checks get to make the priorities. If they don't like it, get elected and change it or find someone with money that agrees with them. Being a "Scientist" does not mean you have some moral superiority over others concerning what tax dollars are spent on.
Really? This is a troll? Grow up you moderation weenies.
Yes, they said that about using the IRS as a political tool. If you've done nothing wrong, why do you fear the government citizen?

No,it could not be that. It is the fallout from a Nimitz/Carter mindset that set up regulations to promote nuclear weapons.

I always find the "genocide" mantra strange.

Shachar
Sadly cannot mod up. Good thoughts.
and the Jews certain lived in that area before a single "Palestinian" ever existed.

Because wind generators are going to drive US Navy ships, never.
LFTR plants would remove the majority of waste so we wouldn't need long-term storage.
They're also paying for thousands of wind generators broken and defunct. If we simply made LFTRs we could process the rods you mention as fuel.

Well that's a fair response mate. But you're still living a fantasy if you believe the scientific community anywhere near sacrosanct.

"Public" utilities (read political payoffs to politicians) will never allow fusion. Too efficient.
Boo hoo. Start your own network. It wouldn't be hard to do better with ratings with literally anyone but Fox. But it's easier to whine, eh?
How hard is this to fathom? Bush did it! Racists!
CCC credit rating. Yeah. No politics there.
Ethanol! That's real science!
I thought scientists were noble people that worked for free, only ate garbage thrown out by Republicans and always told the truth. No?
