I actually came across a young programmer who boasted about his "high productivity", which he measured, believe it or not, by the number of lines of code he wrote in a day.
He only lasted 3 months in that job, by they way. You're not going to be a good programmer when you don't even realize was "good" is.
Leave it to the producers to blame anything or anyone but themselves! If they had some original IDEAS and good WRITING, Enterprise would be an enduring hit, and people would prefer it to reruns of the other series.
They need people in charge who will think outside the cookie-cutter.
Since when is "plenty of work" a guarantee that an employee won't play plenty of solitaire? Maybe he just didn't give a damn about his work.
