Genesis: The Evolution of Biology is a great book on the history of biology, pre-Darwinians like Lamarck to today's (scientific) cracks showing in the Darwinian model.
This is bad news for Microsoft because a lot of people have been hearing about how good OSX is, but didn't want to transfer due to legacy applications they have left on Windows and stuff.
Now they can transfer to OS/X without risk, realize that they did not really need Windows after all, and they won't buy Vista the next time around. It is a slow process, but the impact will be huge in the long run.
This is all pretty stupid. If banks use one email address to communicate with everybody, the phishers will spoof that address, that is all, and people will trust the phishing emails even more. I like the current scheme, where many of the phishing emails are quite distinguishable just by the originating address.
You're talking as if everyone is completely rational and plans their entire life in advance. Of course some smart people will engage in mischief before resigning. Other people have feelings of loyalty that prevent them to do before they hand in that resignation, but once they've announced they are leaving, they may feel a lot less enclined to maintain that loyalty. It's called psychology, which is something that ultra-rational programmers sometimes have trouble conceptualizing...
After the customers, Intel is the other party that has to lose the most in this, in terms of reputation, etc. I'm sure Intel will try to do everything in its power to avoid these chips getting widespread, and will try to protect its reputation.

Speed can't drop more than 100%. Or else you have negative speed.
