I heard this is single-player only... what gives?
all the screenshots i've seen so far only have one charictor on them, but they would be from prerelease versions anyway.
yeah, but wireless has some insecurities built in no matter how you set it up. WEP can be fairly easily cracked, SSID cloaking isn't much to speak of, and you're broadcasting enough for someone with off-the-shelf equipment to pick it up.
well, those drawings are only mock-ups. i doubt that they're gonna show all the diffrent, random connections that would be on a laptop. or maybe it has a docking station for hooking up to printers, etc.
also, how is this going to compare to plasma displays? the only mention of them in the artical is when it says they will be cheaper. considering that plasma is considered the high-end of displays, and there's barely any mention of it, one may think that this is nothing more than a press release and not "real" news...
but you just know that this place is going to end up with n00bs making whorehouses and warez trading places. but, it's an interesting idea... i hope they can keep the stupid idiot factor down....
since when is this new? much of this software has been out for a while, and there have been many news stories about firefox gaining on IE, and how OOo is better than MSOffice. the real point of this story is that people want to flip MS the bird. it's a natural reaction, but it's not productive.
yes, becuase this makes the protein the way the body would have (or at least closer to it). what does this mean? basically, that it works better than just a protein.
i don't think anyone is saying that symatic is nessasarily wrong, per se. but that they are trying to amp up the perseved threat so people will buy more products.
but maybe this post IS serving symantic, et. al. i mean, we're all talking about it, and this is on the front page of slashdot, for crying out loud. so someone who may not be as technologicly knowlagable as some others sees this, thinks, 'oh man, cell phone virus?!' and goes out to try to buy 'Symantic antivirus for motorola cell phone' or whatever. and they tell their friends, who tell their friends, etc.

check the first comment here . because they apparently have made a sequl to that game.
either way, by it's very nature, Wi-Fi will still be easier to crack than cabled networks.

pfft. when have we ever been able to upgrade a console using off-the-shelf stuff?
yeah... it's in the room with the big yellow thing that hurts when you look directly at it.
ah, so 'there are no bees'? :D

I know Steve Jobs is a god. ... in what universe? last time i checked, most people consider Jobs to be a head-in-the-clouds dreamer, not a god...

if this cancer 'only' effects 1 to 2 million people, why would it be of major intrest in a publication like this?

hmmm.... i remeber reading that virus was its own plural... or maybe thats just in the latin... >>
i doubt many people really know or care about security threats such as this. it has to be brought to their attention is a way such as this...
actually, virus is it's own plural.
do we really need to critisize the spelling in something thats not on official release?
but what is a grey hat?
