It's time to take your tin foil hats off folks. This is product is made by Redux Beverages, aka the maker of the energy drink Cocaine. This isn't the first time the company has tried to push a product with a famous name. It's the same strategy the company used with Cocaine. Go back to bed folks, there's nothing new here to see.

Has anybody actually taken a look at what these applications are doing to facebook in general? The nice thing about facebook, everybody had a simple looking page that was consistently the same. Since the applications have been coming out, everybody pages started looking like utter crap. Gone is the static page that was easy to read, and simple to load. With the ability to add all the apps, facebook is turning into myspace. We all know how giving the ability to do whatever to their space makes the server go nuts, pages are a pain in the ass to look at, not to mention what does to the server. facebook used to be nice. now it's starting to become more like myspace, which makes me cry.

While most schools do like the idea of free software, they also remember they have to support their product. Our school was relative small, only one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school. However we between teachers, students, and support staff we had over 2000 users. I used to work for a school system as a system administrator. Our school district wouldn't touch a product unless they could demonstrate its effectiveness in other school system, gave 24/7 phone support, and met state mandates. I haven't seen many free software that provides the support level of a maturity commercial software product, something like person products. I haven't seen many free software that can generate reports for the state in the form they so desire. Free software is great, however until it can compete with commercial software products in terms of support, and state mandates we won't see a huge adoption rate. Side note, we did use lots of free stuff like the gutenberg project

What? This is pure bull. Avid is almost exclusively run on PC; any large Avid install run with a Lanshare has to be run on PC. Adobe Premiere is being used more and more these days for their openness to various codecs and mostly for their cineform support. Premiere can't be run on a mac. That leaves FCP systems, which the majority of their installs are for low end shops, like the one that I work on. Macs have just as many config problems as pcs, if not more. I was at a highend contractor for ESPN (this was a muti-million dollar facility by the way), and there was not a single mac in the building. Maya, 3ds max both run better on PCs. Apple only owns video production in peoples basements, and not even that. There are no high end finishing tools for the mac, like avid symphony or descreet smoke. The PC has won this battle and Apple is left to catch up. Pure bull.

my parents are a nielson media house. Now both my brother and I live inside the house, but we both rarely watch tv. While my parents watch most of the tv hours. Nielson has no idea who is actually watching tv, just that someone is. In our house hold it looks like my brother and I watch alot of cooking shows, network tv and soap operas. If our house truly represents a family older people tend to watch more tv, and skew the results towards shows that appeal to their demographic (desperate housewifes, lost, house, etc...). I'd admit their system is slightly flawed, but it's close to perfect as one can get. I think this is the case with most young adults they rarely watch tv, except for mostly one or two key shows.
