Im in Australia and our banks only allow 128 bit encryption, yet they wont tell you how to get it.

They just say either Internet Explorer or Netscape is required. Thanks....

What I tell people to do is to use Fortify (http://www.fortify.net) which updates your browser to 128bit (apparently)

  9. Can androids feel pain? on Can Androids Feel Pain? · · Score: 1
Is there a difference between 'feeling pain' and hurting, or just having a red light that flashes "you are suffering damage" a la Terminator 2?

Would the AI grow to hate that red light and actually feel hurt from it like a human, or would they not care. Some humans can train themselves to not feel pain, would we be able to train robots to be hurt?

This was touched upon in Asimovs 'Caves of Steel' where Elijah asks R. Daneel if he can laugh or feel good about himself. Also what his sense of justice was.

Does anyone know of other books that touch on this topic?

Clicks Wide seems accurate to me because you can get back to your starting point through a different route than the way you came.
I think the Web analogy is the most accurate, with multiple routes to each site.
Maybe Im just thinking two dimensionally, lousy brain.
