RGB is confined color space, and adding yellow would greatly improve the accuracy of the display. It would allow the monitor to display CIE L*a*b color. The "L" channel stands for luminance; the "a" channel is green and magenta; and the "b" channel is blue and yellow.
Theoretically it covers the entire visual gamut - that is, all that our eyes can see. While it may not be entirely noticeable in a medium like TV, you can bet that photographers will happily buy the monitors.
Our local Kroger affiliate offers these discounts via a "Plus Card" but you can buy the same item at other stores at the discount price without a card. When I visited my daughter in Augusta, Georgia, all the stores seemed to use this system and rather than pay more I just filled out an application with a phony name. The whole practice is insidious.
Here's where it's coming from. Two former members of the Bush Administration have signed on as board members with two RFID firms. Can you say paid endorsement? How about inhouse lobbyist? How about hide your guns but keep them close?
Nuff of that. How about hacks, cracks, or phreaks? I know they can be fried in a microwave, but unless someone shows that these things are useless or dangerous (like reprogramming, changing IDs) there's going to be a lot of people who will say Good, or Uuuhhh? or just flip the channel. Just a thought.
Tommy Thompson, the Health and Human Services Secretary in President Bush's first term and a former Governor of Wisconsin, is going to get tagged. Thompson has joined the board of Applied Digital, which owns VeriChip, the company that specializes in subcutaneous RFID tags for humans and pets.

I've used Cookie Wall from analogx.com for years.
Incredible how many tracking adverts you get reading the NYTimes (worse the Wall Street Journal),or following what you thought was a legitimate link but turns out to be a url that's only purpose is to provide paid links to a dozen sites who want to boost their search engine ranking.
So, with Cookie Wall I can save them, kill them, or keep them in my warm and fuzzy cache, unmolested, waiting for the big creamy. LOL
Frankly, I just trash them all. I don't have time to sort through the ID codes to decide which ones to keep. And I read the Slashdot FAQs on cookies. So what? Do we have Geek Correctness now? Will the Digital Gods score me a minus? Oh the shame. They know my name. My children will be left in the wilderness.
Video-conferencing may the future, but I've read that in Cananda a VoIP operator got into a fix because the local telco objected to providing the link for 911 calls.
Cell phone companies provide 911 service even if your service is turned off, it's law. And Wi-Fi provides the link if Vonage has a cellular service company that isn't owned by the local telco.
At least that is the connection that I make, and it addresses a very real concern for VoIP providers.
