Back in the days of the original IBM PC was a game called nomination. It was alot of fun and followed the primary elections. You picked your candidate then answer questions and got results on a timely basis. It was a text based game I believe (blue and white).

  3. Re:Money? on President Bush To Call For Return To Moon? · · Score: 2, Interesting

I believe President Bush was the managing general partner of the Texas Rangers - not the Houston Astros. He actually did quite well turning a large profit when he sold the team. In fact, he made the most of money of all his relatives - simply by buying and selling the Texas Rangers. The Rangers were bought in 1989 for 86 million dollars and sold in 1998 for 250 million dollars.

This is all off topic - but then again you received moderation to "insightful" and I disagree, your incorrect.

Technology is the core "product" of the United States. The United States businesses (yes, the top ten) are mainly technology based and we make a large amount of money trading this technology. Therefore I believe pushing space flight can bring nothing but good things to the United States.

Did you know that the oil business in this US is not getting oil but rather producing technology for finding and refining oil?

  10. making money via a lawyer on Ask Donald Becker · · Score: 0

Q: you have made a large amount of money off the open source community in a way i don't consider on the "up and up". you write drivers for linux while being paid by an employeer, you give away the drivers then personally get a lawyer to threaten the company using your driver with a lawsuit. You then get the offending company to pay up money and take the money for yourself. don't you feel the company you work for and paid you to write that driver deserves the money? I have personally witnessed you do this to many companies (QNX, BeOS and Intel to name three). As an american taxpayer that paid your salary, i want that money - you don't deserve it. you are using open source software as a means to steal basically.
