All you have to do is go into Safe Mode. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
Then go into the Applications Folder > Choose MacDefender.app > Move to Trash. (in Safe Mode)
Reboot normally and reset Safari.
If someone really came up with better input devices, the pro computer gamers would be using them.
As for user interfaces, Starcraft players seem to manage very many actions per second.
So the challenge is to create a user interface that's friendly and usable to "noobs" but also able to augment pros/experts to their limits.
Most recent UIs seem to emphasize friendly and usable to "new users", but they neglect the case where some of those new users don't mind taking the trouble to learn to do things very very much faster.
current games are designed around KB mouse input, the kinect stuff is programmed to take advantage of the hardware. give it time.
Have you seen what the pay scale is? No wonder nobody wants to teach. You pay all that money to goto school and end up in a job with a "blue-collar" pay scale. Its a bit different if you decided to be an engineer or CS major. Hell my starting salary out of school is more than most teachers make!

Been using this mouse from the first gen back in the late 90's and have kept buying the newer models when the old ones wear out. No thumb fatigue ever, and its way more precise that most mice I use (I'm an IT professional, I handle a lot of mice). I highly recommend you give it a shot, its only US$30 for a corded version.
I remember following a procede a while back that allowed you to take the home media files from a series2 (.tivo file) and run it through some program that was included in windows and viola! you got a regular uncompressed mpg2 stream (.mpeg) within a minute or so. it was so easy i thought it was a fake but it really worked. i had no problem with the mpegs after that.
ever heard of MTV Overdrive? MTV has tie-ins and special extras that are available from their website only. Instead of using the web as a new distribution medium they are likely looking to increase advertising revenue of specific demographics (ie the people that watch the show are the most likely to view the website for that show, giving the advertisers another shot at their target market) Apparently Viacom thinks they can make more money this way, at least in the short term
you can just create a non-DF folder on each machine to save files to that will not be erased by a restart. We were considering implementing this at Northeastern when i was a helpdesk at their large computer lab in the library.
I'm pretty sure that one of SALT treaties prohibited "militarizing" space or putting weapons in orbit, but then again when does the US care about some silly treaty? We know that Bush could care less if it gets in the way of his grand master plan...........
yeah i posted the simplest way since it seems the average mac user is too freaked out to do anything remotely complicated....

Sorry I realized that was confusing. Northeastern University in Boston Ma.
NU uses Blackboard, I even worked in the IS department supporting faculty and staff with Blackboard. Never had issues with it and I used Firefox.
And when I upgraded I noticed this "feature" and it annoys the shit out of me. They should have left well enough alone.
I only wish NESN was OTA. Guess if I want my Red Sox fix I'll have to keep coughing up for the pusherman.

That seems a little rediculous, I mean who the hell loses 1200 laptops in 5 years? Time to start handing out pink slips and jail time.
Consider the possibilities if Walmart partnered with newegg.com, kinda of like the old egghead sections in staples.
