I don't think so either. I also used to be a SETI@Home supporter and supplied them with over 2 years of CPU time. Then I found THE Extraterrestrial Intelligent life form and did not even need a computer or telescope. I have since dedicated my CPU time to things that are more important to me.

"There is a reason for this, google is a superior searchengine"
I agree. The traffic to my domain has been increasing at a rate of over 20% per month. I run several blogs there along with a podcast. I keep the content fairly fresh. It is Google searches that drive in a majority of the new traffic to my site. I do get my share of traffic from other bloggers linking to me, but Google is my friend. Another interesting traffic generator for me is my iTunes store. I am averaging over 20K visitors per month to my domain and will likely pass the 100K visitor per month mark by the end of this year at this rate of traffic growth.

From the article, "Goodwin knows how easy it is for Big Brother to gain access to personal information." This one reason for not using the Internet is a perfect example of pure ignorance in regards to privacy. I bet this person has no problem handing a credit card to the waitress, gas station attendant, or retail clerk. How do these oh so careful people combat a waitress, gas station attendant, or retail clear from making note of the credit card number, three digit security code on the back, and expiration date and then selling it to a friend or using it themselves?

That's right. You pegged me. I don't trust the likes of the LA Times and other members of the MSM any further than I can throw a truckload of their newspapers. My point in adding links to other sides to this argument is to show that there is another less liberal bias side to the argument that MSM tends to avoid. I am not convinced either way. I hope that you nor anyone else bases their opinions solely on what the LA Times reports. Equally as important is that you do not base your opinion on these subjects based on the information given solely by the likes of junkscience.com. The bottom line is that there is not enough evidence to have me worry about the affects that I have as one person on the global warming concerns. Oh, did we ever determine if there really are concerns to begin with? The LA Times and other MSM members are certainly not going to change my mind.

Answer: I have not looked very hard at the specifics of a hybrid until today. I could not get past the total cost of ownership component. I didn't really care how they worked if they were going to cost that much more to own and operate.

Thanks to yours and other postings I have taken a closer look. I posted a spill on one of my blogs as a result. You can read it here.

  17. Did They Read IT? on Email Addiction Runs Rampant · · Score: 1
There is a tool out there to feed a few of these email addicts. It's not free, but the concept could easily be replicated on your own server as long as the recipient accepts HTML formatted email.

Here's what it does for the addict.
    1. Tracks when an email was read
    2. Tracks how long email was viewed
    3. Tracks where it was read - (Yeah Right, How could this be? Do they think IP Addresses are geographic?)
    4. If message was forwarded then goto to 1.

I have not looked hard at how it works, but I suspect that the system embeds a small graphic that is loaded off of a remote web server where the are doing extensive logging and reporting back to the addict..I mean sender. If that is it, then you could easily replicate that by adding a graphic to your signature that loads from your web server.

    The server is called DidTheyReadIt?
