Virtual On was amazing. An excellent, fast paced arcade port. It's too bad the arcade sticks were so hard to get and even if you could find them, they were usually $100 or so!
While it's true that there are many other fantastic 'geek oriented' comics out there, the attention that Penny Arcade recieves comes largley due to the fact that they are more than just a webcomic.
I have yet to see another webcomic that not only hosts its own video game convention but also runs a huge charity drive that has drawn a lot of attention as well.
I don't have the facts on this but I also believe that they are one of the first webcomics to move away from the donation system and allow the authors to live comfortably off of an Advertisement/Merchandise revenue model.
Either way, I bookmarked the link you posted. Webcomics keep me sane at work!
I'm going to boot that up again tonight!
Soon they will be able to project text and......images..... from their cellphones. :)
Yet another reason to abandon movie theaters all together!

"I remixed a remix.......it was back to normal!"
Actually, Mike Krahulik posts as Gabe and Jerry Holkins posts as Tycho Brahe FYI. Yeah...I am a fanboy.
