its advanced. If it was simple then it would be limited. If you want it to be simple and limited then move to IIS. (not to mention crash) Computers are very advanced and hard. If you want to use the advanced options you must learn the hard things.
For a server based system Slackware is my choice. I learned way back when on a 386 with 200 mb hard drive. Its simple to write programs for and automate every day things and is very stable. However i would never run a gui from slackware. Its harder than most but that is because you can configure it exactly the way you want it and it just works from then on out.
For a desktop system fedora is my pick of the litter.. Its easy for users to work with right out of the install.

However, i've known others in my field that dressed poorly and when people didn't like it weird things would happen to their computers all the little things those people could do online would for some reason stop working. Computers and networks would slow. Then people would stop worrying about what they dressed like.
I would love to get one of these to see how CVS accesses the videos. Maybe it would be possible to hack in a usb port, add some memory. Many possibilities with this.
