Some more info. The "cereal box" mp3 player is not "shaped like a cereal box" like the article says. Looks like the author didn't RTFA. The point is that it's so cheap that cereal companies might just stuff 'em in cereal boxes.
why would you need a 3D view? Not trying to be flamebait; I'm just wondering the purpose. Is this supposed to replace current GPS navigation? What are the advantages?
"The fun a government can now have with this package will be great. False positives to kill a story? Could real digital "abusing prisoners" images now be spun as a hoax? Just a few well placed reports as to the authenticity of any new digital images could kill a story? Or lure a leaker out to 'prove' the reality of the images only to face character assassination?"
That shouldn't be modded as a troll. Although he is unfair to Russia, he has a very good point that should be taken into consideration. What if a government does pass off real pictures as hoaxes because of their "infallable" software?
Ha, that's true. Reminds me of the PS1. Once it got a little older, you had to turn it upside-down for it to work properly. Fortunately, this isn't the case again:p
You, I think, are confused. The current Google translator is no better than freetranslation.com or babelfish. However, Google has been working on a completely new type of translator which (it seems) this article talks about.
I think what you have to realize is that he comes from a Linux background, so he's not used to the differences. I've never personally used SunOS or Solaris, but with WHAX, I single click every icon, no matter what it is.
Also, WHAX prompts me with nearly every decision with very similar, if not identical, messages. I assume it is the same with Solaris/SunOS.
Does anyone else see this as pretty much the same thing as the Desktop Sidebar? That's what I use, and I love it. It can even be integrated with ver. 1.0 of google desktop search.
Do you think that Google is trying to steal this for their own use, or are they claiming that it's completely their own idea? As a note, Desktop Sidebar stole the idea from the Longhorn betas.
Another thing, I sincerely do not think this will ever replace a browser... I will always use a browser.
send both of them out into the market, then see whichever "wins" and is the most successful? I mean, it's a terrible marketing strategy, but wouldn't it work?
I mean, wouldn't there still be a choice between the type that eliminates ghosting and a regular LCD? I don't see it as a problem, as long as there's still that option.
Well but when will wew see TVs using OLED technology. For sure they will be alot better than LCD counterparts.
I fully agree; I can't wait either. OLED's are so much thinner, they're flexible, they use much less electricity and they're cheaper to make. It will truly improve all aspects of video and picture technology.
I hope they get into a lawsuit and lose.
The name of something affects how well it cells, obviously. The Chevy Nova was a bomb in Spanish speaking countries because "nova" translates to "no go" or "doesn't go". A name is everything in economics.

Nah man, they're the perfect size for pockets. It fits perfectly fine in all of my pants.
Maybe you shouldn't be a stereotypical geek and should wear baggier pants!
